> 3 dayLOVE this vacuum! We have 4 dogs and LOTS of hair! We have tried three different Roombas and none of them even came close to the job this Shark does; my floors haven’t been this clean in forever! I will watch for the next sale and buy another!

> 3 dayI previously had less expensive robot vacuum of another brand and it worked well for about a year until the pets killed it out of curiosity. I went about 6 months without it but definitely missed it with 2 dogs and 2 cats inside. I had major rotator cuff surgery some months back and vacuuming still irritates my shoulder so I went to looking for another robot vacuum to help. I settled on this one and love it! I run it at least once a day throughout the house common areas about half standard carpet and half LVP flooring. My house is large so it runs quite a bit. The battery charge can all the areas in one charge and I have it set to automatically return to station to empty when it gets full then it return vacuuming. It picks up pretty well and makes it much easier to keep carpets clean. I still vacuum weekly with my corded shark upright because cordless vacuums don’t have the power corded do but sure make life easier. This little guy picks up everything from flour to cat food, it’s low profile enables it to reach under cabinets and into corners and it’s pretty good at emptying its canister but sometimes will let you know it needs help and you have to manually emptying out the canister but overall it works great !

> 3 dayI purchased two of these robots recently. 1 from Amazon and 1 from Walmart. TLDR: Buyer beware, if the unit arrives broken/defective, then you will have to pay for shipping for a replacement or parts even if the product is never used. I was attempting to work with the company as asked before returning to the seller, but had to return to the seller instead. Shark needs to work on their quality control. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. You can read it at the end of the manual.----------------------------------------------- 1 robot was purchased for upstairs and 1 for downstairs in my basement. Due to recent home repairs I was unable to open my 2nd shark robot until a few days ago. The product was unused, had all of the labels attached, the filter was spotless, and unregistered. When I went to open and charge the unit, I followed the instructions and sat the unit on the charging base. I attempted to register the product and it would not connect. I left the unit charging overnight and assumed the battery was drained. In the morning I attempted again to add the unit to my shark app with no luck. I removed the robot from the base and the lights completely turned off. I placed it back on the charging station and the lights turned on again and continued going from red (no battery) to blue (charging/Bluetooth). After a few more read through of the instructions, I contacted Shark customer service. During my call, the phone agent registered my account (you cant use it unless its registered to the app) so they knew it had never been used. After explaining the issue to me she sent me a video link and we continued the call through their video support. She walked me through the steps (very nice) and in the end determined the unit was defective and/or the battery was bad and would send a new one. After providing her my shipping information she asks me for a credit card to charge shipping fee to. After some clarification she explains that while the warranty does cover defective units, it does not cover shipping costs. I explained I would not pay for shipping on a brand new, unused product which she verified by registering the product to my account and video calling me for tech support. She offered to send a battery instead, but again advised that it will be $25.00 for shipping. I email their support team and am advised the same thing. Regardless of the issue, if Shark has to send a replacement or part, they will bill you for the shipping. It does not matter if the product is new and unused or gently used. Email from Shark Support: ---------------------------------------- We are sorry about this situation with your unit. We will do our best to have this matter resolved. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. > 3 daywe had a roomba for 2 years until we gave it to our in laws. we wanted another one, but the roomba didnt do very well, and we had 3 indoor dogs. the dogs are now outdoor now that we live on land, but doesn’t mean the husband doesn’t drag in debris. we got this one for the emptying dock. it works great. it has errors sometimes for no reason and can’t always find the dock, but it does well enough for me not to have to vacuum but once a week instead of daily.

> 3 dayWorks fantastic on our hardwood floors and carpeted rooms. I dont think Ive had to bust out my old vacuum since getting one of these for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. We have 3 cats that would track around kitty litter and shed everywhere. This vacuum does a fantastic job of keeping our floors clean and comfortable to walk around barefoot on. (I did buy the no tangle rollers since cat hair/human hair was building up on the roller and getting wrapped around it eventually stopping the roller from turning and needing manual intervention. I havent had the no tangle rollers for long so well see if theyre any better than the stock ones) Only complaint is the mapping doesnt work the best. The robot will ignore the no go zones and you have to wipe the map and start over to try to get them to apply. Mapping software could use some work. Also youll want to run these during the day/in a well lit room. Ive tried running them late at night or early in the morning and due to the lack of light they get lost and cant find the docking station. Verdict: Despite the buggy mapping software for no go zones and low light issues I love the fact I no longer have to vaccum!

> 3 dayUPDATED 7.13.2022: About 4 months ago, my Shark deleted the map it made of my house. Thats what it uses to efficiently clean the house and it lets you design No Vaccuum Zones such as under your table where it gets lost for hours trying to navigate chair legs, or where that rug is that is really plush and prevents the robot from getting up onto it. Anyway, Ive remapped and re-set up my rooms and no-go zones multiple times only for the app to delete them again. Ive read online that its a very common problem, but good luck getting anyone in Support to look at it. Without this functionality, its just another dumb robot. Dont waste your time buying it for the Mapping functionality. _________________________________________________________________________ Ive been rocking at Roombak 699 for many years. Three batteries, countless brushes, and a new dustbin lever later, and I knew it was time for an upgrade. I purchased this Shark unit, not really knowing what to expect. I should have done this a long time ago. Lets start with the obvious: - The Shark unit has a predictable cleaning pattern. Once it has run several times, itll create a decent map of your house. Youll want to go in and create rooms or zones so you can tell it where you want it to clean (or dont). You can also create no go zones without having to stick those infrared, battery powered units all over the place. Once this is all set up, this unit will clean your house--taking as long as it takes. For my house, that usually means going back to the home unit to dump its collector a couple of times. Every now and then, it needs to recharge. Roomba didnt do that. It would zig and zag back and forth until it ultimately just lost charge and maybe it cleaned everything, but probably not. - My Roomba was really loud. So loud, you couldnt work or watch TV or carry on a conversation with it running. My kids even asked me not to run it at night because it woke them up (and it was downstairs and they were upstairs). The Shark unit is at least half as quiet so we dont mind running it when were all here working or just putzing around. - How well does it clean? Maybe not as well, but that is made up for by the fact that it can climb over rugs and clean the entire house in one day versus maybe it takes 2-3 days with the Roomba and it gets stuck on half a dozen things, including cliffs that arent cliffs. We have a mix of hard floors and fairly thick-pile carpet. If youre wondering if its worth saving a few hundred dollars on a Shark and trying it out, you should go for it. Im glad I did.

> 3 dayMy review is not so much about product as it is about whatever distribution centers provide the product to Amazon. We have purchased 4 of these but it was only because we had to return 2 of them. The first return was because the item shipped was not what was ordered. The correct model number was written in pen on the outside of the box but that was not what was on the inside #2 return was for defective product. Kept getting an error about object was detecting robot was about to go off a cliff and to clean sensors - which I did multiple times before calling manufacturer support line who, while very accommodating were unable to help me resolve the problem. I should have suspected this was a previously returned product for a number of reasons 1. There were no manuals or setup guides as part of the package 2. Side brushes were already installed 3. Roller had dust and dirt 4. Dust container also showed signs of previous use as there was visible dust and dirt inside container 5. Film that covers sensitive areas was absent I want to make it clear, I do not believe this is an Amazon problem but rather one of the manufacturers distribution center. If they are sending returned packages without some type of quality control.....

> 3 dayUPDATE 2 6 Sept 2022: you can set a time to have the robot go to station every 30 mins to charge or/and empty itself. So increasing to 5 stars from 3. Love this thing. By the way if it stops charging make sure the on/off button on robot itself is indeed on. I had picked it up and didnt realize i turned it off and for 2 days I couldnt figure out why it wasnt charging hahaha UPDATE: the robot does an amazing job cleaning the whole house. The map shows that it didnt miss a thing. My only problem this far is it does not empty when it was full. The suction was not strong enough to empty it automatically because the robot was packed full, hubby had to manually do this. What is the point of having a system that is supposed to empty when its full but doesnt do so. I have several furr babies that sheds. The robot should empty when full the head out again. We had to go around and pick up clumps of hair. So Im knocking two stars off because we bought this for self emptying opinion. I just received this item. The set-up is extremely easy as the app you download too. I tested it out and so far I am pleased. I had an Roomba for years and was very expensive and very loud. Sounded like a jet was in my house. After it stopped cleaning the carpet I decided to try something different and I am happy I did. The vacuum itself is much quiter than the Roomba. It is a vacuum so it does make noise, but not so annoying where i have to turn the tv up max volume. The emtying bin is also quite while doing its job. I am happily surprised. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Though the Shark is not cheap it is much cheaper than a similar system from Roomba. The bonus feature is the double spinning brushes in the front that captures all the corners and walls no matter what side it is vacuuming from. My Roomba only had one so if it was vacuuming on the opposite side the dirt was missed. I still get my regular vacuum out for deep cleaning, but as someone with 3 dogs/3 cats I anticipate this vacuum will make my life so much easier.

> 3 dayI think I’m being generous by giving it 3 stars. First, we have a large single story floor plan to deal with of about 2800 sqft, so I recognize this could be a challenge, but we’ve had a Neato Botvac Connected that handled it efficiently for years, though the robot itself wasn’t that reliable and I got tired of repairing it, otherwise, I’d definitely just buy another. Enter the 2nd generation Shark IQ AV1110ARUS we bought due to the good reviews and self emptying feature. The good: it cleans well and I like the fact that the self emptying bin is bagless, unlike the Roomba i7+ (I tried this as a replacement too). Also, the Shark wanders a bit less and bumps into things WAY less and much more gently than the Roomba. Lastly, it’s much quieter in all phases of operation than the Roomba. The bad: There are many things that disappoint me. First, the very short time between recharge even running at “normal” mode, forget about “max”, of about 45 minutes or so. Then, the unit will return to base and recharge before resuming, which takes nearly 3 hours!! In 8 hours of running, the unit only covered about half of the house at which point I had to send it back to its base for the evening, cancelling the rest of the house. Then there is the mapping feature of the app, which supposedly is much improved on the newer 2nd generation, but you wouldn’t know it from my experience. Yesterday, it generated a map for half of the house, which was pretty rough and not very accurate, but it was a map. So I labeled all of the rooms it found, set up no go boundaries, etc and assumed it would continue to evolve the map as it cleaned more. Nope. Ran it more, even let it discover new places which it went into where the previous map ran out, but it wouldn’t update further. I checked with support and once “accepted”, that map is final, it won’t continue to expand on it so I was told to delete it and start over. Basically, the unit needs to run for an indefinite period and happen to wander into every space on its own before you accept the map or else you start all over. For the record, the Roomba i7+ sucks too at this, Neato Botvac Connected so far puts them both to shame, except for mechanical reliability. I’ll be returning this unit and waiting until the software improves to the point of being more helpful than frustrating. There are plenty of superior robot vacs out there for much cheaper, just really wanted the self emptying capability.
