> 24 hourI rarely write reviews, but I am so impressed with this vacuum that it has to be done! I have two Australian Shepherd pups and two children under the age of 10. My house always has dirt tracked in and all other sorts of messes are constantly being made. I have a brand new carpet, and hardwood floors and this vacuum does it all! After going through two cheap vacuums in the last year, I decided to splurge on this Shark. I compared and read reviews on several different brands and models before deciding on this one and I can honestly say that I couldn’t be happier! A few of my favorite things about this vacuum and comments to the pictures I included. The first picture I posted shows a small area of my room that I vacuumed. As you can see the amount of dog hair and dust that it collected was mind blowing! In addition, there’s an extra trap that caught a necklace my son made without damaging or getting caught in the rollers. I finished vacuuming my room, and found no hair had attached to the rollers. This is a huge deal for me (and a big reason I splurged on this vacuum) because I despised cleaning and cutting hair out of the rollers every time with previous vacuums. With the power lift option and powered hand attachment, I was able to clean my carpeted stairs with ease. It has incredible suction and devoured the dog hair and crumbs embedded deep within my couches. It’s absolutely magical and has made cleaning house so much easier. No dust, debris, or odors using this vacuum. You will not be disappointed!

> 24 hourI bought this vacuum because my old vacuum would make me have massive allergies when I would go on a cleaning rampage and needed something that was truly going to seal all the dust in. I feel like I have thoroughly tested this vacuum on multiple surfaces: wood floors, area rugs, carpet, tile, and have used the attachments on corners, baseboards, blinds, and our couch. Findings Suction is very powerful, like it feels like the vacuum is pulling you forward, it sucks the dirt soul out of my rug which is awesome. For wood floors it does a decent job but it feels like you have to be right on top of the dirt for it to pick things up whereas other vacuums will pull anything around it. Honestly I’ve been very happy with this purchase except for ONE thing, the hose. Serious design flaw here. The hose length is ridiculously short. You will get a workout when using any attach one cause you’ll be whipping the whole vaccuum around. Yes you can detach the canister from the vaccuum but for many tasks you need both hands which leaves you with the same issue. For example when vacuuming my blinds it did a great job because of the strong suction but I definitely need both hands for this task. I was seriously sweating trying to finish the task and feeling like I was swinging the whole vaccuum around. With all of that being said I’m still happy with the purchase, it really does a great job getting every bit of dirt out and it keeps it all locked away very well. If the hose were longer it would be the entire package, I hope they redesign this in the future.

> 24 hourGet this. I’m loving vacuuming. I know it’s crazy but somehow I do. I really appreciate all of the features on this vacuum. I watched some videos on “Vacuum Wars” on YouTube and his info is great! Best place for all things related to vacuums and helped me decide on this model since our Dyson was not worth fixing and was not getting the job done. I love that I can clean all of our floors quickly so our whole house is cleaned must faster than usual. We have tile/hard floors, medium pile carpet and a sensitive wool rug, so with the 3 floor settings we can clean it all. Our Dyson had the brush on or off option but that did not work for us - our tile floors did not get cleaned after several passes unless I used the wand which took forever. The first day with our Shark, I cleaned up the piles of hair off of our tile after a hair cut! It was all gone! Honestly I was shocked. With our Dyson, the brush option damaged our wool rug but the rug setting on the Shark is awesome. It makes the rug look awesome and gets all of the dog hair! This is also lighter and narrower than our Dyson! It is similar in that it has a canister with washable filters but I like that this canister opens at the top and bottom and has a special bin for the larger items that may get sucked up (like nerf darts!) so you can get them out without digging through the dirt you just vacuumed. The filter is also separate from the canister (the Dyson is combined). It is picking up the finest dust! It has a long cord like the Dyson - but be careful - it has such great suction that it will suck up cords and anything else you run over! But our Dyson was not doing that... Each time I vacuum with the Shark Vertex it looks like our carpet has been shampooed. With the two rollers its like our hard floors are also wiped clean from fine dust. We have not had any hair clog or wrap the rollers and have a Great Pyrenees who leaves his fur tumble weeds all over the house and a 15 year old daughter with a lot of long hair! Our Dyson was constantly needing the rollers cleared. I also love the powered lift-away option. I can clean under our furniture much faster now. It also has a few options with the wand - the long or full wand and the smaller handheld option. It comes with 3 attachments - 2 store on the housing and the special pet tool we keep separate. Overall, this vacuum is great! The canister holds a lotttt of stuff and it does all I need it to do and more! Get this awesome sucker!

> 24 hourGood vacuum with powerful suction power. I just wish it there was a way to decrease the suction power doing kitchen and bathroom rugs. Like the other Shark vacuums, I have had in the past. The vent like thing. Other than that good vacuum. Always buy Shark....

> 24 hourOk, this thing is absolutely OUTSTANDING. We vacuumed the whole house with our Dyson dc33. Now granted, that one is 10 years old already, but their claim of never loses suction is just false. It HAS to lose it. Within the last few months, we replaced the hose, brush roller, filters and belts. After doing the whole house, we did it AGAIN with the new shark. It filled the canister-TWICE! Suction is amazing. Different modes for different floor types of a flick of a switch on the handle, so super easy to switch between floor types. Easy to push, turns great, doesnt weigh much, the lift away makes steps SUPER easy, and the roller does not hold hair! We have 2 huskys in the house, so long hair is INSANE. And we still have nothing wound around the brush head. Really the only complaint is the cord is like, stupid short. Only reason for 4 stars. I have a central outlet that let me do my whole house with my Dyson. Now I need to switch outlets 3 or 4 times to do my house. Kind of annoying, but nothing an extension cord cant fix. Either way, I couldnt recommend this vaccum enough!

> 24 hour- IN A GOOD WAY! So, I just received this vacuum and WOW. Its super easy to put together. Super easy to change attachments. I am very pleased how easily it transitions from carpet to hard floor. I vacuumed my whole 3000 sq foot house, couches, stairs & mattress yesterday! No hair was wrapped around the brushes after I finished. The attachments are a god send for stairs. I have a 90s model Kirby and this thing has more suction than that! It IS somewhat heavy but the ease of removing the canister and vacuuming in separate parts help - (also easy to get under the beds & things while separated.) Plus, this is why it is so powerful = bigger motor. It came with a hepa filter and 2 washable filters. The dirt bin is very easy to clean under water. The power cord was plenty long enough. Anyway, I love it so far. Will update if that changes.

> 24 hourI LOVE IT. I’ve been so happy with my Shark vacuums but have always had the more basic models. Now that I have a Golden Retriever that sheds and another shorter hair breed who sheds too I decided it was time to invest in a higher end model and see the difference and wow! It’s so impressive!!! I know it’s expensive but honestly I’m so happy with the decision and it’s something that should last a long time so will be worth it. But bottom line- it’s extremely impressive and I am so happy with it! Very highly recommend it!!!!

> 24 hourThis is my first purchase of a Shark vacuum. After exhaustive research I settled on the Shark Vertex model based on reviews and comparative shopping. First, the positives, excellent suction, large dust storage container, multiple adjustments for roller height, ability to remove storage container to vacuum in difficult to reach areas, useful attachments, and overall sturdy feel while vacuuming. For all the positives, it is a little clunky. It is somewhat difficult to roll around during vacuuming because the the roller provides significant resistance on the back stroke, and it’s large size feels awkward, generally speaking. In conclusion, I will gladly take the relatively few negatives for the excellent overall performance and quality this vacuum offers.
