> 3 dayI own 2 Newfoundland dogs. You can imagine how much fur gets on to the floors. It is like tumble weeds everywhere. I have owned Dysons and multiple other pet vacuums over the years, but they all came down to one thing the fur gets tangled onto the roller and I need to get scissors out and cut them out of the bristles. I need to do this so much just to vacuum the whole house it isnt even funny. This vacuum comes with two rollers one with fins with no bristles the other is like a soft roller. It vacuumed so well I was so impressed. Yet there was some fur still wound up in the soft roller and that was such a pain to remove in a different way. Mind you it is not anywhere near the amount that gets tangled on to a normal bristled brush. I removed the soft roller and now I really do not need to worry about fur getting tangled up what so ever at all. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because I wish Shark would give us an option to swap out the soft roller for another fin roller. I assume because I am lacking the second soft roller it is not cleaning as well, but even without it I would say it is still pretty good. I cant say enough about this new found freedom from constantly needing to cut out fur from the brushes. I love my dogs dearly but the extra chore of constantly flipping over the vacuum and cutting out fur from the rollers were making vacuum time so much longer and irritating. Even when they touted for pets I always thought why cant they do anything about the fur tangle. I believe they are getting closer to a true pet vacuum including long haired pets now. One more step Shark. For everyone with long haired pets. This vacuum is really worth every penny.

> 3 dayGet this. I’m loving vacuuming. I know it’s crazy but somehow I do. I really appreciate all of the features on this vacuum. I watched some videos on “Vacuum Wars” on YouTube and his info is great! Best place for all things related to vacuums and helped me decide on this model since our Dyson was not worth fixing and was not getting the job done. I love that I can clean all of our floors quickly so our whole house is cleaned must faster than usual. We have tile/hard floors, medium pile carpet and a sensitive wool rug, so with the 3 floor settings we can clean it all. Our Dyson had the brush on or off option but that did not work for us - our tile floors did not get cleaned after several passes unless I used the wand which took forever. The first day with our Shark, I cleaned up the piles of hair off of our tile after a hair cut! It was all gone! Honestly I was shocked. With our Dyson, the brush option damaged our wool rug but the rug setting on the Shark is awesome. It makes the rug look awesome and gets all of the dog hair! This is also lighter and narrower than our Dyson! It is similar in that it has a canister with washable filters but I like that this canister opens at the top and bottom and has a special bin for the larger items that may get sucked up (like nerf darts!) so you can get them out without digging through the dirt you just vacuumed. The filter is also separate from the canister (the Dyson is combined). It is picking up the finest dust! It has a long cord like the Dyson - but be careful - it has such great suction that it will suck up cords and anything else you run over! But our Dyson was not doing that... Each time I vacuum with the Shark Vertex it looks like our carpet has been shampooed. With the two rollers its like our hard floors are also wiped clean from fine dust. We have not had any hair clog or wrap the rollers and have a Great Pyrenees who leaves his fur tumble weeds all over the house and a 15 year old daughter with a lot of long hair! Our Dyson was constantly needing the rollers cleared. I also love the powered lift-away option. I can clean under our furniture much faster now. It also has a few options with the wand - the long or full wand and the smaller handheld option. It comes with 3 attachments - 2 store on the housing and the special pet tool we keep separate. Overall, this vacuum is great! The canister holds a lotttt of stuff and it does all I need it to do and more! Get this awesome sucker!

> 3 dayI am so amazed every time I run this if you don’t own one of these, you really should the stuff that’s in your carpet that you can’t see this vacuum definitely pulls it out. I am very very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to anybody who is looking for replacing their old vacuum, I used to be 100% Bissell I think I am now 200% shark. Thank you for a wonderful product I just wish you could get the air freshener on this particular vacuum

> 3 dayI am beyond in love with this vacuum! I will never be buying a 80$ vacuum again there’s a reason you’re paying as much as you do for this state of the art cleaning technology. I have always looked for an easy to clean vacuum that help pick up all dirt especially in carpets. Being someone with asthma this machine has definitely helped minimize all dust in my home! I feel like I’m in an easy breathing environment after bringing this to my home. I will be recommending this vacuum to everyone especially pet owners and people with children it helps keep the house safe and clean

Greater than one weekI have completely ditched the broom. This vacuum is anything and everything I need it to be! Well worth the price. And it pulls up so much dust and dog hair that my rugs look and feel clean again.

> 3 dayThis replaced a Dyson ball, that I was never happy with. Dyson advertises that their vacuums never lose suction, but the suction on the Dyson was too weak to begin with. This Shark has WAY more suction. It also has a far better brush roller. The brush roller on the Dyson was self-adjusting but seemed to ride on top of the carpet pile, instead of digging in and pulling out dirt. The fins on the Shark do a much better job of getting into the carpet fibers. The fins also dont get clogged with hair, and the second roller does a great job on the bare floor. The lift-away turns the vacuum into a corded stick-vac that lets the vacuum get under the sofas, entertainment center, and beds. The headlight helps you to see the dirt in those areas, too. And the fact you can use it as a wand or handheld is a huge improvement over the Dyson, too. So, what are the negatives? Its ugly. Its heavy. The hose is a bit short. The cleaning head is a little too tall to fit under one of our sofas, even in stick-vac mode.

02-04-2025Pros: The suction power is incredible! Hair does not wrap around the roller!!! I have 4 dogs in my house and vacuum every day, so this is a big plus! There is no bad smell as a result of odor neutralizer, also a big plus. The lift-away is always handy. It has three height levels for the rollers. Easy to empty. Cons: There is no brush on the end of the crevice tool. I am using the crevice tool with brush from my old Shark vacuum. There is no headlight on the end of the wand making it difficult to see what I am vacuuming under and behind furniture. It is a bit stiff in maneuverability but I am making myself believe that it is due to the incredible suction power.

> 3 dayOnly had it for a few days but so far I love it. Bought this to replace a completely overrated Dyson and I’m very happy with it. It clean my tile and carpeted areas equally well and the suction is great

> 3 dayIll start by saying this is an incredible vacuum. We have dogs (two doodles) and thick carpet as well as laminate flooring with area rugs. Before this, we had a cheaper Hoover (under 150$). I felt it was not doing a sufficient job so I started reading up on higher end vacs. I landed on this one after seeing reviews showing this vacuum beating out Dysons and anything else put up against it. They said it was excellent for both carpet and hardwood, and was the best at picking up hair without the beater getting tangled. These were all true, so here are my pros and cons: Pros: -Great suction. The pic shows the reservoir being full...this was from JUST a 12x12 thick carpeted room, 5 MINUTES after vacuuming the same room with my Hoover. -I do not have any issues on our very thick carpet with the vacuum sucking too hard and making it tough to push. I saw some reviews that state that...they likely pushed the button and have the beater turned off so it wont pull itself, or they have it set to the wrong flooring type. This is the main reason I chose this over a Dyson, I have seen far more reviews on Dysons being very tough to push. -LOVE the maneuverability. You can pop the whole canister off and carry it, or just the top and use the hose attached to the vac. Also very easy to turn and go under tables and stuff. -No fanning. What I mean is that with every other vacuum Ive used, if you were on a hard surface, the beater put out so much air that it just blows all the dust and debris out of the way so you never suck it up. This works awesome on hardwood when you put it in that mode, and only one beater spins to pick up debris. Cons: -This thing is ugly as hell. The engineer that designed the functionality features is a genius. I believe after they designed it, they let a 90 year old lady choose the color scheme. Seriously, why would you have a grey vac, with rose gold touches and a blue roller? If I had shopped in store I wouldnt have even considered a vacuum at this price point with those colors solely based on looks. Dysons are so much more appealing if youre simply going off looks. -Reservoir size. The reservoir is fricken tiny. If you have a large house or more than one dog, you will either need to vacuum every week or empty the canister a couple times during use. Only the front and top portions of the canister are actually to collect debris, most of it is taken up by the motor. -The cord. Yeah, its super long which is great. But why are we still making cords the EXACT length to where you have to wind it up super loose to attach the plug to another cord. Make it 2 shorter or longer, so annoying. -Wheels. The back wheels are stupid. Theyre tiny plastic wheels that wannabe a dyson ball but arent. If rolls around like a ball, but when turning one of the wheels lifts off the floor and its like youre kind of lifting the vacuum. I believe their goal was to mimic a Dyson ball without infringing on patents, but its a cheesy way to do so. As you can see, my cons are slightly petty but still sort of annoying. Luckily, a vacuum isnt particularly for pleasing the eye. Overall this is awesome vacuum in terms of functionality, and I would highly recommend to any friends or family to snag one of these if they can afford it.
