> 3 dayFirst off I have another system I bought on Amazon that has no communicating Hub between the sensors like Yo-link does! What that means Is much longer range that I needed to reach my outdoor enclosed well pump house my ThermoPro sensor couldn’t stay on line kept loosing signal till I could physically get back to my lake cabin and unplug it to reset it then after I left it would go offline again within a day or so! The Yo-link reaches the pump house with ease! But better yet it also reports to my phone via the app when temperatures dip below or above the temp range I set to be notified about if that happens! Also the sensors use two Tripple AAA batteries it comes with alkaline, but I chose to instal lithium which I know lasts up to 5 years in the frozen tundra where I live in Wisconsin from my experience with other weather stations units I had which used an outdoor sensor but they were not WiFi capable just sensor to station which sets on a table in the house. Yo-link has its own WiFi hub that’s only about 5”X5” square and less than a inch high that connects to your router and is powered by a usb cable and plugs into any power outlet, this hub is the only part that plugs in and powerful long range communicates with as many sensors you want to place in and out side of your home! So you can put them anywhere no need for power for every sensor like the other brand has to have, and the other brand doesn’t have the hub to broadcast to and from the individual sensors that’s why you get the long range, the other brands sensors has to each connect to your WiFi individually and they are finicky as to where they pick up signal! To far away or inside another out building without WiFi and you don’t get connected! So I was really pleased and surprised with Yo-links performance, and it solved all my problems for about half the money of the other brands price!

06-04-2025I ordered the hub with 2 temperature sensors and ordered a third temperature monitor as we have 3 freezers wed like to manage. It took me a little bit to figure out how to set the settings to trigger an alert to my phone when the freezers hit a warmer temp but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing! We have 3 deep freezers and would be a bit devastated to not know a freezer failed before it was too late Our freezers are in a detached garage but we do have an ethernet cable in their so have the hub plugged in out there. So far these have been working great!!

Greater than one weekWe are in North Central Florida and have a farm with valuable temperature sensitive plants in high tunnels. I used to have to start heaters when the weather station reported near freezing, then Id have to check that the heaters were on every hour or so through the night. WiFi based monitors did not have the range to reliably hit our structures. Enter LoRa. We need minimal data, now and then. The YoLink system was perfect. It is so simple. Now I can get to sleep, get an alert when temps approach freezing, and then go back to bed. Each tunnel has an alarm, and if the heater shuts off or it gets too cold-- I get a message. Perfect. I added some motion detectors to let me know if deer or local delinquents are on the farm. They are perfect too. Great products, and the ease of connection is the real bonus of the YoLink system. The system is generally inexpensive. My only criticism is that it would be great to have ultra-low cost ($10 range) LoRa relays that could trigger 12-24v to actuate any device. Id love to have all of my irrigation zones on the network. Right now the closest solution is $45, and not in the budget. Overall, great for an introductory LoRa system.

> 3 dayIn AZ, barely open garage freezers can become very costly. We have had to refill our entire vertical storage freezer twice this year and with 2 cooks in the house, theres lots of opportunity for mishaps. This has been a welcome solution. Pros - Peace of mind. - Once setup, has worked reliably without hassle. - Has already paid for itself several times over in saved food. - Clean app interface (although some unnecessary backtracking involved). - Alerts trigger quickly and loudly on connected devices. Cons - Mobile apps only, no desktop application. - More customization would be desirable. Notes - My observations are all made using Mac devices (iPads, iPhone, Macbook) - This is not a quick setup, should allow at least 1.5hr for setup, testing and customization. - Recommend do not try to setup wirelessly, plug hub into router during setup process. - Installed on my own, but they offer assistance if needed. - I keep the alert range set @ -10F -- +18F to allow for freezers to be loaded/unloaded without alerts (temps can be adjusted to 1/10 of a degree). - May be a good low cost alternative for small business owners. Overall, very happy with this system, the 2 sensors are monitoring 2 freezers in our garage and I will be ordering more sensors soon for indoor fridge and perhaps for terrariums/vivariums.

Greater than one weekI had recently placed a negative review of this product. However, after more attempts, we DID get it to work (via cable) and so far it is working well. I really WOULD recommend, though, that your modem has a free plug-in place. That was our problem before; getting it connected Wi-Fi can be a challenge. For now, I have freed up a place on my modem to plug in the hub, and getting the device set up and working took a little bit, but now it seems to be working fine.

> 3 dayI brought these to monitor freezer temps that we store food in as one of the freezers had been acting funny and we didn’t want to lose all the food if it died. Overall the device works great. However, battery life isn’t as advertised due to them not being shipped with lithium batteries that will live up to the advertised battery life. I brought 4 that had alkaline batteries and not lithium (makes a big difference when using in a freezer). Initially one sensor was intermittently reporting to the hub after less than 3 months. Customer support tried to tell me it was the signal, but the app said the signal was “good” and the other sensor was similar strength and not having any issues. Then the device dies, I replaced the batteries and everything is fine, the signal strength is not the issue. Customer support told me they would replace the devices, which sounds great, but they also told me they should have lithium batteries and would assure me the replacements would. When I received the replacements I checked and they had alkaline batteries too. I called them out on it and then they tell me the factory has a shortage of lithium batteries. I’ll try to cut to the chase here….the devices I received (8 in all, the original 4 plus 4 more in a replacement order) did not ship with the batteries needed to last the advertised 2 years. It feels to me like customer support tried to give me some bologna excuses on why there was issues, but come to find out they are shipping devices knowing full well the lithium batteries (which should last the 2 years) are not installed. Beware if you plan to use in a freezer or cold place, the alkaline batteries do not stand up the cold temps. Simple enough solution to replace with lithium batteries, for me the principal issue of not being shipped with the power to meet the advertised battery life, plus my dealings with customer support has left a sour taste in my mouth. I’d give 5 stars for the actual product with the lithium batteries.

Greater than one weekMy immediate need was an alarm for a garage freezer, which is an older freezer and I had become aware that if we have a breakdown issue, could lose several dollars of food products. Simple audio alarms were not an option because of the distance of the de-attached garage from the house. Plus there are days when I do not even go out to the garage to hear an audio alarm. And I was concerned about relying on wi-fi shown on other systems. I was suspect about the quality from my router wi-fi signal to the garage and a sensor inside the freezer and then back to smartphone. The YoSmart and the Lora tech works extremely well, as advertised. I have a sensing unit in my garage freezer and get alerts on my email (text and Alexa are also options ) when the temp goes in/out of the range that I have set. As a new user I needed the YoSmart Hub as well and the package I ordered came with the Hub and two temp/humidity sensors. The second sensor is used in our inhouse frig. Since these worked so well, I have purchased a motion sensor and attached inside mailbox to alert to when postman opens and closes door, to alert me with an email when I have mail. And I purchased a third temp/humidity sensor and I am using it in the attic to monitor temperature and humidity. We have an automatic attic fan that comes on & off with a mechanical setting of temp and humidity. With the YoSmart sensor in the attic, I will be able to see the range of conditions in the attic as the weather changes. And with those changes I will then make setting adjustments on the automatic attic fan. In our area of the world, weather is full extremes in all Seasons and I believe the additional information provided by the sensor will help me make better adjustments on the fan and in turn keep the attic temp & humidity under control. Set up on the Hub and the sensors is a snap and instructions are very clear. Since the Hub is connected to the Internet, sensors can be monitored outside the home, via smartphone. Very pleased with this product - looking for other applications in and around our home.

Greater than one weekMy fridge/freezer starting showing signs of failure so I bought this Yolink device to monitor them and get notified of issues. IT JUST WORKS! Simple to configure, works reliably, and does exactly what it’s designed to do. I especially like the flexibility in alarm settings and also alert settings. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. It’s worth every penny!

> 3 dayWe have a refrigerator out in our uninsulated garage. I wanted to monitor the temperature for 2 reasons. ONE, during the winter I want to ensure temperatures are maintained. TWO, this is an old fridge, so I want to be alerted if it stops working altogether. I love that these monitors collect a history so that I can easily keep an eye on things. I found the setup to be very easy and quick. I connected directly to wifi using my Eero system. I love that there will be alerts sent directly to my phone so that I can take action ASAP. I just installed this today and I will absolutely update my review if anything changes.
