> 3 dayThis is one of the BEST TOOLS I have ever had the pleasure of using, but not for what you think I used it for. I am a commercial plant grower and grow field grown cut flowers. I use black plastic to grow on because not only do I hate weeding I usually dont have the time it takes to weed. I use a blow torch to make the holes in the plastic after the sides of the plastic are anchored down with soil. I use to use an old propane torch that I kept having to relight with a lighter because it continually goes out from the wind and tipping it upside down. I thought I was low on the propane so I asked to borrow one from my friend and this was the gem he lent me. WELL....over 3000 holes later.... another friend who saw me using the borrowed torch said I dont think your friend is getting it back and he was right about that. He actually didnt get the one I borrowed back, I bought him this new one. Having his in the garden kind of got it dirty and I felt bad returning it to him after that kind of use. This tool made short work of what usually was a long project. It never blew out once and I could make any size hole I wanted. This invention is better than sliced bread and I cant say enough great things about it. Oh and my nephew actually did use it for plumbing and it worked fantastic for that as well.

> 3 dayA very good torch, read all the other reviews. Where it lets you down is the company itself. The brass is very thin around the air holes, a safety design in case the torch is dropped to break there instead of at the tank. If you do indeed break it, as I did when I accidentally stepped on it, bernzomatic will not sell you a replacement torch head, despite it being easy replaceable with an Allen wrench. Prepare to shell out another $40-50 bucks for a new one, or do like I did and braze it back together.

> 3 dayThis is a tool I have always wanted since I first tried a TS4000 years ago. Finally bought the TS8000 and it is incredible. I should not have cheaped out the first time with a no-name wanna be. It is perfect in my opinion. Just pick it up and squeeze. The gas comes on and lights all at once, every time. Then let go and it goes off immediately. It has a lock on and a lock off. And the control knob on back is easy to adjust. I never have trouble getting the flame size I want.

> 3 dayGood build quality, feels safe to use with mini-propane tanks. Purchased to work with a Searzall torch for use in sous vide finishing and couldn’t be happier with ease of installation and use.
