it has a knob that will let you control the amount of heat you are needing some of the other units just have a set amount of fire that comes out but if you are just needing a small amount of heat you can turn the fire out put down

works just as described...so many uses but right now we are using it to burn wood planks, shosheban, for our DIY bar project

Works great accept it does not light when you pull the trigger. I waited to long to check it and Im past the return date. My fault.

What an improvement over older MAP/propane torch nozzles. Way easier/safer to use and seems to generate more heat. Worth every penny. Do, however, carefully read the owners manual, referencing this particular model (it covers 4).
