I bought this torch in a pinch and replaced with a more expensive one. The latter has pooped the bed. Bernzomatic is still kicking.

I have had great and not so great results with this companies warranty policy. I have a small farm. Farms have rusty parts. Rusty parts need this torch and a can of Aerokroil to fight the rust war. I have a few Bernzomatic torches. A Bernzomatic TS4000, and two TS8000 torches. The first TS8000 lasted a few years and when I called, a female customer service person went out of her way to help me out about a year ago, in the fall of 2018. She sent me a new torch and literally went on Amazon and purchased my second TS8000 feeling they honored their lifetime warranty and I really appreciated her efforts. It never fails I have my torch in one shop and need one in another area or the house so this is the reason I have three right now. My TS4000 torch is now acting up and I called to see what they could do. Based on the last interaction I was expecting a pretty easy phone call but that was not the case. I ended up with a male customer service person who was not wanting to help and instead mentioned the torch was pretty old. I asked if I would need to purchase a new one and he said yes. I asked if it was under warranty and he said it was not. It was just worn out is what he inferred. Well, so much for the life time warranty. I had thought of calling back and seeing if I caught a crabby customer service person and see if another would be more flexible. Based on other feedback I figured things must be changing and I was not interested in arguing or wasting more time on a broken torch. So as I am looking I find that bernzomatic has competition now that I did not notice in the past. I saw a similar model made by Mr. Torch and I am assuming Mr. Torch is a knock off of Bernzomatic but I am not sure who came first. The MR. TORCH BTS-8088 has a lot of the same features and is less monies. I bought one and it feels really nice with a similar if not better fit and finish. And most important the Mr. Torch has a nice even, hot, flame. If Bernzomatic is not going to honor their warranty, I will be forced to buy a torch on price and not on warranty and just toss it without worry or stress. I figure they brought it on themselves by either hiring this guy or training him with this reaction to my broken tool. The Bernzomatic torches are good torches and I gave them a four star review as I really did and do like my Bernzomatic torches. They have held up to a point. A lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty. Period. If its a different warranty, or a we need to see if its our problem or your problem, then I will buy on price and toss it. Who has time to screw around with a torch when its hard enough to make a living these days and life is short. The Mr. Torch is very similar to the Bernzomatic and less monies. Your call whether to buy this one or not. Its a good torch. Just be prepared to buy another if this purchase fails. Or something may change again at the company regarding their warranty policy. If so, I have a TS4000 I do not trust any more sitting in my shop broken, waiting for me to some day dissect it and see what is broken.

When valve is turned down, the flame shape and quality degrades to an shapeless flame that is unfocused and not very useful. I thought this might be more versatile than the TS4000 but that is not the case. If all one needs is a big hot flame, this torch should be fine. The model sent is a TS8000T which is not on Bernzomatics drop down menu list when you try to register it for Warranty. They only have the TS8000 on the list and the statement there says that non listed models are not eligible for lifetime warranty. I tried to register it as a TS8000 but never received an email confirmation.

Made in USA. This torch kicks ass over other torches made of chinesium. Quality stuff, built like a tank. This will probably outlast me. I first bought two cheap torches only to regret I did not buy this in the first place.

I needed to sweat some copper pipe fittings on my espresso machine. This worked like a charm. Took less than 5 minutes.

This touch had worked perfectly. I dont really need this much firepower usually, so I got a smaller propane torch too. I love the instant ignition and extinguishing.
