> 3 dayThis is the best torch Ive come across hands down. Have purchased many of these for my company and nothing else compares. This is the most durable torch around if you work at a bench then maybe thats not so important but if your torch is banging around in a vehicle or a tool bag that this is what you want

Greater than one weekThats what Im talking about, This torch had a shut off valve so it couldnt run empty if it was in the tool box and hit the switch. I have had two of these, the first I used for 15 years without incident. This one is to replace it cuz it stopped igniting. They have improved on the shut off valve which broke off on my first one, but was still usable.

> 3 dayThis is the torch to get. I tried a few of the lower end models from Walmart, but the plastic ignitor button is too close to the flame and can easily melt. Decided to step up to the TS8000 model... Still fires up like new, even after 3 years of abuse. Ive used this to light up countless bon fires, countless fires in the wood stove (no need for kindling with this), Ive even accidentally left it outside in the rain for a week - tho Id try not to do that too many times. The only improvement I can suggest is to add a black line to the On/Off switch. Though this can easily be done with a Sharpie.

Greater than one weekThank you quiktrp for your report. My husband bought one also and the same thing happened after having it a year. FYI He found one similar that comes with propane at Home Depot.
