I mostly just use mine for starting fires in my fireplace or burn piles. Works perfect and I like that you can lock it on so I dont have to hold the button down the whole time im using it. Very sturdy, all metal, durable. Love it

Fantastic. It has an on/off switch, which locks out/unlocks the ignition button. Ignition button lights it every single time. Unlike cheaper propane torches where the flowrate is controlled by a needle valve knob, on this you can dial in your heat amount / gas flow and restart to that every time since the flow control and flow valve are separated. I was hesitant at the price, but I should have bought one years ago instead of dealing with flaky cheap torches.

I thought everything was cheaper on Amazon, I almost ordered this but decided to check Home Depo and Lowes first. Glad I did I went to Lowes and bought the same Bernzomatic TS8000 with a Mapp gas bottle included for under $50

Well, I mainly got this for sous vide, but I have been using it on anything that I can. Melting butter, toasting bread, finishing eggs, and finally sous vide. It works fantastically and puts out a nice flame. Ive only used it with the large green propane camp gas canisters so far and its performed well. I like that I have fuel options though should I need an alternative. A plus of using the camp gas is that they heavy base allows me to just stand the whole unit up for storage, rather than taking it apart or laying it down somewhere. Im sure I will find some other uses for this torch in the garage/workshop as well.

Really great tool. Great to start small fires such as outdoor pizza oven cooks. Starter works every time.

Playing with fire has never been so fun! I use it to brown meat after cooking via sous vide. Does the job!
