> 24 hourExcellent hardware, but the Acer website...is slow and not well designed. If, you need help....well you might get it, but its not easy. Try to find out what Android OS you are using and how to update it.....Well,, good luck to you....Even trying to fine out your system specs..another good luck. Now, this Notebook is great for the price and if you are a well informed tech. person, you can get around most of the tech problems. Over-all, this is great hardware for the price....But, dont expect much help from Acer. So, NoteBook highly recommended...but know what u are getting and be at least a little tech savy.

> 24 hourI bought my Chromebook second hand and it is the best Chromebook I have owned. The build quality is solid, the screen is excellent, and the repairability seems to be pretty good for a convertible. The ability to run Linux and Android apps has revolutionized my use and my R11 is my go-to computer for on-the-go use whether it be for schoolwork (libreoffice is great), web development (again Linux apps are helpful here), or just general web browsing (I even installed firefox haha). The unit has held up well for the year that I have had it. No wi-fi issues, battery has 86% health (which is pretty good), and the overall feel is just as good as the day I got it.

> 24 hourGood in some ways but disappointing in that some of the apps offered are not really available at all, but incompatible with your device. At least one also simply loses data.

> 24 hourIndeed it met all of our expectations. My granddaughter is thrilled with it and uses it for class and homework every day. It is easy to use and quite educational for her.

> 24 hourI had never used Google Chrome OS before this purchase, but after learning the slight differences, I have been very pleased with the Chromebook. The display is very good and the battery has lasted all day for me (It could have gone longer). I have enjoyed the versatility of the Chromebook, which my laptop cannot offer. My only complaint is the keys on the keyboard are bigger than I am used to, so I frequently type gibberish. And, just like every other computer, there were some tricks to getting the Chromebook setup the way I wanted it. I did a lot of research before I bought this tablet and so far it has lived up to all the hype. I opted out for buying a case and made a tote out of a $10 purse and some batting, mainly because I didnt want to carry the book like a book, and I needed a place to put the power cord and the mouse I use.

> 24 hourBought this for college, if i knew how limiting chrome os is, i would have never got it. You cant use word except a very small online version that you cant save offline or double space in as well as other important academic formatting. The google play store was cool but they of course blocked Word, so i got developer mode to download the APK but they still managed to block it. I spent so much work trying to figure out how to use word when every chance chrome os gets, theyll force you to export to google docs. For the price you can buy an actual laptop that can run real versions of products. Also the price dramticly dropped after i purchased it so that also left a sout taste in my mouth. Real shame since I love the feel and look to the laptop to bad i cant productively use it.

> 24 hourI purchased my Acer R11 chromebook convertible about a month ago. So far, so good. The build quality is very good, I like the look and feel of the aluminum lid that they put on to give extra protection to the screen. The IPS touchscreen has very good color reproduction, however given the fact that it is 720P, 1080P videos on youtube struggle to play. This isnt an idictment of the machine, but if you plan on watching 1080P videos, I would look at another device like the Acer chromebook 14. As far as performance goes, I am not a person that is going to have 10 tabs open at once. I think the most that I have done at once was maybe 3-4, and I did not have any performance issues at all. Listening to google play music, watching netflix, youtube, the chromebook performs as it should. The machines boots right up upon opening the lid, way faster than my wifes windows PC, which I cant stand. Battery life has been good as well, I would say about 8-9 hours, and I keep my brightness set at around 80% on average. As I have been telling people for a while now, if you are looking for a laptop that is easy to use, has good battery life, performs well, you cant go wrong with a chromebook. Windows machines eventually slowdown over time due to the sluggish software and bloatware that come with it. Chromebooks actually speed up given the ever increasing power of a web based OS. If you do not need a device for heavy photo/video editing, or power gaming, and want something to just browse the web, check email, and binge watch netflix, a chromebook is the way to go, and the R11 does not disappoint. Hope this review helps in your search, and good luck
