DO NOT BUY! The Chromebook R 11 was hardly used and only a few months old. My daughter used it for school. One day it just would not power up. Tried everything no luck. Contacted Acer customer service -- had to pay $17 to ship it to their repair center. Been waiting over 3 weeks with no updates. I just logged on to their customer chat. They said they were waiting for spares?? I asked them to escalate and no response... Terrible product and worse customer service -- DO NOT BUY

I bought this as a gift for my 13 year old sons birthday. It arrived and after 20 minutes there was an error screen. I called acer customer service, which did take my call fairly quickly. After speaking with a less than helpful tech, I was informed that I would need to send it back for repairs.

I had a previous Acer chromebook from 4 years ago that I used pretty heavily, so it was time to upgrade (the only one wasnt fully functional anymore). This is quite the upgrade. The first improvement is the screen quality which was necessitated by the addition of a touch screen. It looks great and the touch screen itself is everything used expect from a tablet.

I bought this for work but it clashes with my Microsoft office account. It does download the free word app for Android which is nice but it doesnt communicate with my professional account and my files end up lost somewhere. I use it to watch Netflix now. Its nice to have around the house. I will most likely purchase a different laptop that is more user-friendly to Microsoft Office Products. Plus theres some really cool skins that you can purchase on Amazon through decalrus if youre reluctant to buy a white laptop. Ive had several windows open at the same time on this with no crashing or slowing.

I am really happy with the Acer - recommended by my son and its just what we needed. Worked out a little cheaper going through Amazon than buying locally.

Really nice design, has everything anybody would look for in a laptop, but .... once you start using it you are completely stripped off of your privacy. You cant browse the internet unless you sign in your google account. Once you signed in, the device is sunk automatically with your main computer. So anyone interested to gather informations about you, will have access to your computer, you mails , etc. And .... via Bluetooth it syncs with your phone. I didnt event enter the sync code .... so my point is: your whole life becomes public and available to anyone to look at. This little nice device is the best way to spy on the citizens ! Wow! Did anybody else analyze this situation or has something to say about it? Is it true that the people are no longer entitled to their privacy? Are we accepting that without saying anything?

Good for the price, thought it would be a little faster and smoother, that said I am happy with it.
