> 24 hourI gave the item 4 stars HOWEVER..... I purchased this backpack for an upcoming trip. After unpacking ans inspecting it, I spent several hours trying to configure it to hold my equipment - without success. The product is well made and otherwise I would rate it 5-stars. The item dimensions are stated as 18 x 9 x 13.2 inches. The laptop compartment easily holds a Macbook Air, an iPad and has room for adapters and cables. The front accessory compartment will hold batteries, filters and such. HOWEVER, the camera compartment dimensions are not stated. The specifications say the camera compartment will accomodate 2 DSLR bodies and 3-4 lenses plus accessories. I found the depth of the compartment to be a big factor. I carry 2 DSLR bodies: Nikon D5100 and Nikon D7100. I carry 4 lenses: Nikon 35mm; 18-200; 70-300; Sigma 15-30; Nikon SB-600 flash. What I found was that the camera compartment is 4.5 deep at the upper portion (top); 5 deep in the center; and 5.5 deep at the bottom. Three of my 4 lenses are > 5.5 long so they must be placed horizontal to the bottom of the bag. Configuring the bag this way makes it impossible (for me at least) to carry the 4 lenses, 2 bodies, the flash unit and items too big for the accessories compartment. Quite simply, I need a bbiger bag! SO...be careful to preconfigure your equipment requirements before buying this bag - I didnt!. It is a very good bag for the price, but just not right for me!

> 24 hourI traveled through Europe this summer with all my camera equipment stuffed into a standard backpack. Changing lenses, batteries or filters required setting the backpack on the ground and digging through, which made photography a hassle and made my subjects (spouse and kids) extremely impatient. After we returned, I decided that I needed a more professional solution. I read tons of camera backpack reviews and watched a few dozen videos before setting on this one, and I couldnt be happier. Heres what I see as the key features that make this product stand out from other alternatives: - NONDESCRIPT APPEARANCE: Most camera backpacks scream, Im a camera backpack, making you an easy target in crowded venues. I have thousands of dollars of gear and place a premium on the security offered by this anonymity. - VERY COMFORTABLE: With adjustable wide padded shoulder straps on chest and waist, it took me seconds to find just the right comfort setting, and I can wear the backpack comfortably for hours. - SPACIOUS: Easily fits my camera body, 4 lenses, flash and accessories, several filters and hoods, external mic, tripod, batteries and battery chargers, memory cards, laptop and tablet - with room to spare. - SMART, SOLID BUILD: Padding is thick. Dividers are plentiful and easily shifted with Velcro attachments. The camera body (with just about any lens attached) easily fits in the center compartment, for quick removal and storage. The zippers move well. - RAIN COVER: The pack comes with a specially fitted rain cover that easily slides over the backpack and helps keep everything dry. Based on my research, only the higher-end camera bags come with one of these. - EXCELLENT PRICE: This backpack is a tremendous value. I couldnt find anything else that was close to this price for this feature set, size, and quality. AmazonBasics is a misnomer for this product - its anything but basic. I look forward to getting many years of use out of this well-designed, well-made backpack.

> 24 hourThere are two features this bag needs, and it will be the best ever for its purposes. Make that three things. Even so, its heartily recommendable and perfect for carrying DSLR and gear and a laptop and gear. 1. It needs Velcro straps for the tripod. The clip-based straps keep sliding when trying to tighten on the tripod. Not a big deal, but a definite annoyance. 2. It needs a couple of pockets on the front sized for a phone, headphones, and stuffing all the keys, change and items in pockets when going through airport security. The side pockets are nice, but one is rendered useless when a tripod is attached, the other is too small. Not a big deal, but sure would be nice, Amazon. 3. The slip that handle of rolling luggage can pass through to hold the bag while dragging through the airport.. This is the most important missing piece, and cost Amazon one star in the review. Now what about the rest of the bag: Perfect. Ive got two cameras, a DSLR with 3 lenses, 2 lens extensions, spare batteries, two flash units, my laptop charging set up, a point-and-shoot camera, and 18 filters. Theres still room for my notebook, cords out the wazoo, and the power cubes. There could be more pockets on the interior, but there is space for pens, release forms, business cards and a modest amount of stuff. And one real nicety, a water bottle holder would be amazing. I did a lot of research and this is the closest bag to the eBag I was using for my computer before the camera. Its stury, very well padded, and I like the black and orange color scheme.

> 24 hourThis bag seems well made and has plenty of room. Im currently carrying my 5D with 85mm lens and wireless transmitter attached, 2 YN560 speed lights, light dome, 50mm lens with hood, batteries and chargers, filters in a pouch, cables, more filters, lens cleaning kit, more wireless transmitters, some crappy wide angle converter Ive never used but I swear I might one day, more batteries and many small knick knacks. Ive put my smaller tripod on the side of it and I have had a second smaller body in there too. It could hold a lot more. It also fits my 17 laptop and charger just fine. Now, its great that it can hold all of this but it is definitely heavy with everything in it. This isnt the backpack to take on a family trip to the zoo. This backpack is for those people who need everything youve ever owned in one place because if I dont bring that one filter Ive used twice it could be a catastrophe type of people, which is me and I love it. Oh I forgot to add why I gave it four stars instead of five. Although the construction seems sturdy and theres plenty of padding, just recently after only using it for about a month the the little inside tab of fabric that was covering the zipper pull just came right off when I lifted it up. It doesnt really make much of difference I just expected everything to stay intact for longer.

> 24 hourIm a learning hobbyist photographer. After buying an additional lens, and some accessories, I found that I needed to move up from my small over-the-shoulder bag. I wanted a backpack with adjustable dividers. Im also need my laptop and tablet for work, so I wanted something with space for that. I settled on this AmazonBasics bag. It meets my needs, and was very affordable compared to other bags I considered. There is ample room in the laptop sleeve (though I almost wish here was just a little more padding on the bottom of the compartment. The dividers in the main compartment give me plenty of room for my SLR with lens, two additional lenses, a flash, several filters, lens hoods-, cleaning accessories, etc., and there is still room to spare. I could easily add an additional lens or two. The smaller compartment has a few basic zippered and sleeve compartments. I can throw my tablet, laptop charger, phone, network cable, pens, and other miscellaneous items in there without it getting crowded. The construction is very good. The ripstop nylon is durable, the seams are well-sewn, and the buckles, grips, and other connecting pieces are of good quality. The zippers are smooth, and do not get hung up when opening/closing. The shoulder straps are with contours--not just straight, flat straps--and have mesh-covered padding. The back is also well padded, and has a nice channel down the middle for comfort/ventilation. The hip and chest straps are nice if you need some more stability, or have a heavy load of gear. This is a great bag if you need to upgrade to something bigger, and I anticipate that it will serve me for years to come. I dont regret turning down more expensive brand-name bags to go with this one from AmazonBasics.

> 24 hourOne thing I have to admit that whatever AmazonBasics products have tried have been super satisfied. Prior trying this bag I had the smaller version of this bag from AmazonBasics and it was super rugged. I used that bag very carelessly for around 4 years and it can still go for many years. I recently upgraded my camera and added gears too. So my I was looking for a new backpack that fits my new camera, all the gears and my ASUS 15.6 inches laptop. I first tried

> 24 hourIve had two of these in a row since 2018. Backpack itself is great. But the zipper puller (the part you grip) keeps breaking off. I had two break off on the first one within a couple of years, and now on my second one the pullers broke off again within a year. They need to fix this one issue. The metal should be changed.

> 24 hourThis is a great product, fits well with my Sony camera and 3 different lenses. Its easy to use and seems adequate for protection. However, I with it give a little extra room for other accessories. The room is a little tight but I totally understand why. I love this bag.

> 24 hourJust received this bag today, on time, as promised. I selected this backpack bag for a new camera purchase and I didnt want to spend a fortune on it. This bag is designed to have the camera at the bottom, not at the top (I thought I ordered the bag with the camera positioned at the top, not the bottom, but I made the mistake.) The bag is slightly deeper at the bottom than the top and the adjustable dividers inside are tapered to align with the bag. Reversing the dividers to position the camera at the top, for easy access, works. The front flap is well padded, so I dont worry about the camera sitting above the dividers. The straps are securely attached by being sewn around the outside and across forming an x in a square. Material feels comparable in quality to my much more costly REI backpack that Ive used nearly daily since 2005. The chest and waist straps are amble size and the bag rides comfortably on the shoulders. The curved shoulder straps add to the comfort and I think the external padding on the back will make it nice on a hike. Unfortunately, the bag is not waterproof, but does come with a rainhood. The tapered dividers and lack of waterproofing are the reasons I gave it 4 stars. If it falls apart on the first trip, Ill let you know.

> 24 hourThis bag was the best value for the price when I bought it. Since then it has far surpassed my expectations. I have loaded 1 digital SLR, 1 70-210, 1 18-55 and 1 28-90 lenses, 1 430 EZ Flash (about the same size as the 70-210 lens), 1 battery charger, 3 Sata external USB Drives, camera cables, IR Mouse, 4 AA batteries, the laptop charger and a Remington shaver w/charger in the main storage area. The front compartment held the iPad, 3 ft extension cable, spare memory cards, all cables for my phone, manual for the EOS, spare USB cables, my wallet, and plane tickets. The laptop area held an Acer T3 (17 laptop). The whole thing was easy to go through screening with and fit in the overhead with no issues. I used the side straps to hold my rolled coat and blanket. It weighed in around 45lbs when done. The padded straps never were uncomfortable. The pack belt was nice when going through multiple concourses because it shifted the weight to my hips and off my shoulders. The only suggestions I have are as follows: 1) it needs more dividers in the main area. I used the ones from my existing camera bag to supplement. 2) The laptop storage area is not really designed for a large 17 laptop. The corners of mine barely zip around leaving those corners vulnerable to impacts. Also, the bottom needs a thick pad and corner padding. I have to be careful how I set the bag down to compensate and prevent damage to my laptop. I was worried about the zippers going around the laptop corners so tightly but so far so good. I give this an 8.5 out of 10. Yes, if there was not one that fit my laptop better I would buy this one again and I recommend it to people with smaller laptops. For my classes I pulled out the center dividers and it held a full semester of school books just fine. Lastly it is a great weekend bag for carrying clothes.
