Greater than one weekIt was easy to set up and use, the only thing was on the vhs tapes I transfered there was a lag time between the voices and mouth movements, but it may have been the tapes at fault because they were so old.

> 3 daySet it up to transfer VCR over to DVD as all my VCR tapes are at the end of their lifes. Set up is really easy, no issues but I could not get a good burn to DVD on my computer. Tried everything I could think of with no success. Finally reached out to tech support. Very quick replies and over the course of a couple of days we were able to get the unit to burn to my DVD. Needed a slower burn rate which makes no sense to me but it worked. Now the issue is the quality of the burn. There is rather noticeable decrease in clarity. I give high marks to their tech support, top notch. Just be aware that you might not - your mileage may vary compared to mine - get the clarity that you would expect with this unit.

Greater than one weekWhen it works right it is fine but there are problems. The instructions are at times unclear and incomplete. I had to figure out some things by trial and error. One recording the sound and video did not match; I had to rerecord. The edit function is very crude; you will either cut some of what you want to convert or have keep some of you dont want to keep. When I contacted support for assistance I received some questions in return instead of a solution for my problem. It will only convert 2 hours of data at a time; this is not mentioned in the instructions. I did get everything I wanted to convert done but it could have been much simpler with better and complete instructions.

> 3 dayI was unable to get this to work under windows 10 - I sent an email off to support and got outstanding support from them. We tried a variety of things and ultimately I was unable to get it to work under windows 10, but I have another older windows 7 box and I was able to get it to work using that machine. Im giving it 3 stars due to the setup/configuration issues - setup should be more straightforward I think - Ideally it should be a plug and play solution. Once we did get it to work, however, the quality of the captured video was very good. It looks the same as playing the VCR tape itself, so I found no degradation at all. I cant thank their support enough - it was superb. I doubt I would have gotten that level of support with cheaper devices.

> 3 dayIt took me almost an entire weekend to figure it out, but once I did, it was great. I must say the directions booklet that came with this product lacked a few details as far as step by step instructions, especially for someone like me who is not computer savvy. After finally going on YouTube, a few details were cleared up for me and I was able to record all of my old family VHS tapes to DVD. Very relieved now that I no longer have to worry about these tapes deteriorating over time. It was worth the time and the $30 spent on the product.

> 3 dayThis does work. I am not a computer person and it took me days to figure it out. The instructions online are different than the instructions in the package and the information in the Q&A help is different than both of those. I feel this would be 4 stars if the instructions were cleaned up. Now that Ive got my video, Im trying to figure out how to edit it. That seems just as challenging. It might be easier to locate other software for that. :(

> 3 dayI used this product to transfer 24 VHS family tapes to DVD. The hardware and software worked really well and I found the editing functionality to be very effective and easy to use. The quality of my DVDs seems to match the quality of my tape recordings; good sound and visuals. I did find that it worked best if I kept my file downloads to something less than 60 minutes as I ran into some editing issues when I exceeded 60 minutes (could be a limitation of my system and not this product). It also seemed to work best for me if I edited from the beginning of the file and worked to the end. I would definately buy this product again and will recommend it to others.
