> 3 daySeems to work well for what it does. Havent run it thru its total paces yet. Just wish that the viewing box, during the recording was much larger. Their box is very small so you cant see how the recording is going.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised to convert your old VHS tapes (you need a VHS player) to digital format. The problem is, the resolution cant be any better than the original used to record the material. By todays standards, HQ VHS sucks. Id still use it to save family recordings but Ive thrown away my James Bond movies stored on tape.

> 3 dayThe process to get set up is easy, but there are too many issues with recording. The colors have issue and come out almost grayscale, even though I can connect the same camcorder to a TV and get full color. If I record longer than 30 minutes, the audio tends to get weird. The audio will either slow down dramatically, or it is a delay of about 2 seconds between the audio and the video. Every now and then I can record for an hour without any issue. If I find another product that works better, I might update this review so others can know.

> 3 dayI use to use a VCR hooked up to an old camera which in turn connected to my computer. Got a new computer and port that the camera used is now obsolete. I needed a way to convert a few remaining VCR tapes to digital. This has worked great. Didnt want to spend a lot or have a complicated setup.

> 3 dayThis company’s customer service and technical support is absolutely the best! I would give them a 10 star rating if it was an option! Product is easy to use and they will assist you with any issues you may have. Our family’s videos are such precious memories and to have them on DVD is priceless. I am so very happy I selected this company’s product and HIGHLY Recommend them to everyone looking to transfer your videos to DVD.

> 3 dayI was able to accomplish what I needed to. Its not a bad device, but the software is a little dated. With the pricing of the device Im betting there isnt a lot of development (which is completely understandable). I like the size of the device in contrast to other units Ive held/used in the past--its very compact.

> 3 dayThe software that came with the device is broken due to the latest Microsoft update. They sent me another software package that did work and promised a license. I noticed yesterday the unit was getting very hot. Today to see if I could clear some of the noise in the video I used my laptop instead of desktop, it got hot there as well.. and now the housing has come apart. I snap it back and it just pops open. Anther issue has developed and that is I am not getting sound now. I believe this may be to the heat of the device and it falling apart. Tech support IS working with me. I will update.

> 3 dayOK, I never write a review on anything I buy online except to help or save others money and time. This product has numerous faults. I am not a tech savvy person but I am not stupid either. 1. The description needs to be clear that an additional (not supplied) cable is definitely needed to connect the VHS player to the video capture device. Reading previous reviews/descriptions, this was not explained enough. 2. If your computer does not have internal speakers, or you rely on headphones alone for audio, you will not have audio on your DVDs. 3. It needs to be clear that this is a two step process. You capture the VHS video to your computer first, then insert the DVD disc for downloading. It is not automatically captured to the disc as the VHS tape is playing. 3. On-line support is not immediately ready for assistance. Expect AT LEAST 24 hours or more for support. On the positive side it is not that expensive but the return policy is poor considering this was purchased for downloading tapes for Christmas gifts, and unfortunately the period for refunds expired prior to trying it out. Very disappointed.

Greater than one weekI was hesitant to buy because of some of the reviews with Windows 10, but Ive not had any problems. The instructions say to make sure you have .NET Framework 2.0. Had 3.5 so no problem. You have to turn off the screen saver, which disrupts recording. When you edit videos to cut out sections, the Export function needs to replay whatever you are saving, so this can take some time. Converts to WMV or MPEG. Had a couple of VHS tables to failed the app when I tried MPEG, but they recorded as WMV just fine. Is a basic app, but it works just fine.
