> 3 dayI use my Streamdeck mainly for recording YouTube videos. As a voice talent, I also use it to help streamline my workflow in the Digital Audio Workstation. Also, being able to create my own icons for the different buttons and it projects them... rather than me having to print them on sticky labels and hope I got it right :-)... is a fantastic bonus. Its a little expensive; but its worth it.

16-04-2025I love my Stream Deck, and it is a must-have if you use OBS. However, you need to know that if you use it for Zoom or Teams video conferences and are planning to configure keys to mute/unmute or video on/off, there are better and cheaper options out there. The hardware is fine, the problem is with the software. You can easily program Stream Deck to mute or unmute Zoom, but that will not work if you have multiple apps open (i.e. OBS, PowerPoint) and Zoom is not on focus. For this, you will need a more specialized plug-in capable of synchronizing the mute status with Zoom or Teams. While there is a Zoom plug-in, developed by a third party, it crashes continuously on Windows 10. It drove me crazy with system alert sounds during many calls until I found what was the culprit by analyzing the system logs. This plugin also uses more than 50% of the CPU. I was not amused when I found that the 3rd party developer has been well aware of this issue for months, but will not fix it because he sells his own software for this, on a subscription model. Id buy it, but I refuse to pay every year just for this function. Stream Desk keeps promoting the problematic plug-in, highlighting it in their monthly newsletter. Mute/Unmute is such an important function that it may be one of the reasons teachers or virtual meeting participants own a Stream Deck. I got a much less expensive device with just one button to mute/unmute Zoom and Teams. It complements my stream deck, but its using an extra USB port. If Steam Deck provided a function that works out of the box, it would be five stars.

> 3 dayI LOVE the Stream Deck so far. And let me say that you DO NOT need to be a streamer to use or benefit from one of these devices. I am a YouTuber and I have already used the Stream Deck while streaming and to help with my video editing. PROS: - The Stream Deck is small and doesnt take up much desk space (photo comparison to my keyboard). - The construction of it is mostly hard plastic along with the stand. A metal shell would be even better, but the plastic feels really nice and sturdy. - The stand is quite useful and has notches so you can adjust the angle at the device is sitting at. If you dont like the stand, you can just set the device directly on your desk. - The keys/screens actually get quite bright and the colors are accurate. You can adjust the brightness on the application itself which is handy especially if youre working in a dark area. - The software that controls the device is user friendly and intuitive. - The initial batch of controls/integrations is quite impressive and I look forward to future updates for even more controls. - The ability to create folders is a nice feature and allows for up to 210 unique controls to toggle at your fingertips. - Aside from the streaming controls, the Stream Deck is extremely useful in day-to-day productivity (I use it to launch hotkey shortcuts in Adobes Creative Cloud software). - It is very easy to create and change the icons on the device. I create all of mine custom in Photoshop and it takes any 72x72 JPG or PNG image file. CONS: - The buttons feel a little mushy and sometimes it will register as you hitting them twice -- but it is easy to avoid. - The tiny LCD screens seem a little off-center, so I have been shifting the main focus of my icons to the right by one pixel to make it look more center on the device. - I wish the USB cable was removable from the back, and it is quite short, but it can easily be attached to an extension USB cable if you need it to reach further. - Sometimes when going in and out of folders quickly, icon images from the previous screen will still be displayed. This seems like mostly a software glitch and will hopefully be patched in an update. EXTRAS: - For the more tech-savvy folks out there who are interested in doing custom commands and scripts with this device, I have been using AutoHotkey. - AutoHotkey is free to download and has a lot of good documentation. - Some use cases of it are that it allows you to carry out mouse interactions, the ability to send text, read text, create variables, and so on. In conclusion, this device has a TON of potential! I played around with it for a few hours when I first got it and quickly learned and set it up the way I wanted. If you need a tool to help with streaming and/or productivity on your computer, look no further! Hopefully future updates to the software will just keep expanding the possibilities.

Greater than one weekThis is great. I love the little screens, i love the customization available, and I love the usefulness. This is a great little tool to use for shortcuts. It was meant for streaming when they made it, but this is good for everything. I have several nested menus and its awesome. With that said, there are a couple things would like it to do. I would like the option to have a small clock on one of the buttons. When you are gaming or lost in time you cant always see a clock. I guess a timer would also work so you could see how long you have been at something. The process for creating your own icons is a bit of a pain as well. Its takes you to a web site and you have to save the button. It would be most awesome if it was part of the stream deck software and you could just add it there. But overall this is the best accessory I have purchased for my PC.

> 3 dayOver all I like it a lot. I havent programed all the buttons yet. There is one minor problem which I would take a 1/2 star from this product giving it a total of 4.5. What it is, I programed 1 of the buttons to run a program & it starts up the program no problem, but I run multiple concurrent uses of the program (2 at once) The button will launch the 1st one but when I hit it to run the 2nd one the mouse cursor gets an hourglass for a couple of seconds but the second occurrence wont launch. (then have to start the 2nd one manually) Tech support had no answers to this problem.

16-04-2025I bought this to use as a macro keypad for doing development work, it far exceeded my expectations. This device is a lot of fun and great for productivity, even though marketed and designed for gamers (streamers in particular). Pretty much you can assign anything you want to a button: I wrote a few shell scripts to handle things like setting my computer up for working on different products, then added some other macros for use in my ide, everything worked exactly as expected. Where this thing truly is worth the cost is in the screens on the buttons. With other macro devices/keyboards, you have to remember what each button does for which program, with stream deck, they are labeled by text and images (though most of mine are meaningless gifs that make me laugh). The integration with voicemod for messing with work calls is a fun added bonus. I havent gotten close to tapping this things potential yet and I look forward to my next productivity boosting keypress.

Greater than one weekI use this for Adobe Audition and it does help workflow. Using it for everything I do takes more time than its worth. Keyboards, Mice and trackpad input devices have been around for ever. If you start to use a custom macro pad youll eventually remember the location of it. However, what happens when they change the device or the company eols the product? You need to relearn the stuff all over again for the new device. Look at the new touch dial devices vendors have out now for example. The layout will be different. Tips: 1 - Use it for very specific things, and not everything under the sun. Adobe Audition is a good use case, but for a programming editor (vscode, jetbrains) is a bad case. You start taking your hand off the keyboard to reach for the device and youre wasting energy / time. Macro something on your keyboard. 2 - No need to buy a bigger model with the paging capabilities. I do recommend this and think twitch/youtube content users it is great.

> 3 dayA cyborg, if this thing could talk, Id tell it to give me a big kiss. This device never sits for very long as there are an unlimited amount of uses for it and there are always new ways to as more time passes. Im enjoying its presence in the laboratory. It does things for me that would take many key presses. Check this: you do not have to be inside the application that youre controlling for this to work. The control is static and not depending on whats open here even though you could do that also. Studying scripting? Well this is a great tool for today as it will reduce the problems from yesterday.
