> 3 dayDidn’t use the small one too often until I started using voice mod. So small I needed an upgrade for more space. Great upgrade to my battle station.

16-04-2025So a lot of people ask, why should I pay 150 bucks for what is essentially a macros keypad. The answer is the software. Elgato(and now corsair, who bought the company), have made it deceptively intuitive and simple to program complex commands and have them on the gamepad. I mainly use this for streaming my video games, so my knowlege on the adobe software macros are limited. But let me tell you, my workflow for streaming has become enjoyable. make a clip? press of a button. place a marker? Theres a button for that. The possibilities for me are just starting, so I cant imagine what someone who knows what theyre doing would be able to do with this. The software was buggy at first, but they are constantly updating and improving the app. Additionally, the model that I didnt work. Corsair was quick to respond and sent me a replacement quickly.

> 3 dayThe hardware feels well built and looks cool. The screens are so far below the tops of the keys, that there is a bit of a viewing angle problem unless you view the device straight on. If you like your button text labels at the bottom of the key, you wont be able to see them with it sitting flat on your desk. The stand helps a ton with this, as it makes it so you can prop it up at a bunch of different angles, sadly it kind of looks stupid with the cord shooting out the top when it is propped up, but that is a minor issue. Correction: I previously stated that customization was limited. It is more that it isnt intuitive. Icons can be customized and loaded, command lines cannot be run, instead you must specify a full path to an executable or script. The Hotkey Switch is sadly limited to hotkeys only, so not great for turning on and off Wifi or Bluetooth, etc. Add in the ability to utilize command line arguments (powershell or dos commands) and open up the switch function to allow for more than just hotkeys and it will be a lot more flexible.

> 3 dayThe box was pretty damaged. It seems that it has some loose inside parts because it sounds when I move it slightly up & down. Apart from that, it seems to be working as expected.

> 3 dayAs far as macro boards, this solves the solution very well. The software is very good and easy to work with. Setting up all the macros you need is very easy and having multiple pages and everything labeled makes life significantly easier. The big issue that really prevents me from highly recommending the 15 key model is the build quality. The plastics used are very cheap and barely any pressure needs to be applied to some of the buttons in order to cause ripples to appear on the screen. I am concerned about the longevity of the screen when the buttons constantly poke at it. The 15 button model uses a fixed cable which is not the end of the world, but I would have liked to see a USB C port instead. Viewing angles are decent, but its definitely best viewed as straight on as possible. The screen is very deeply inset, so I find that labels can get cut off fairly quickly at off angles, which often needs to happen as I use it in a few different configurations. I have some buyers remorse of not getting the XL version for the design improvements in addition to more buttons, but it does the job even if it does seem a bit flimsy.
