Works perfectly and easy to setup. I currently have it programmed to control OBS, Games and Spotify. Still messing around with it but seems like I program so much to this little box. Love it.

to mention the sheer amount of versatility this device employs would never be enough to do it justice. you can go so far as to automate tasks in your office environment re apps for software integration or even hardware implementation such as the companies own lighting arrangements (key light/air, ring light, etc). if youre a streamer and want to send an alert/message/reaction, you can assign (easily!) ea of the tactile keys on the unit to trigger that notification for your viewers on the stream. take it down to the operating system environment and remove the activity of streaming, you can assign a key to change volume, launch an app, or even to dive deeper, manipulate functions within certain programs to perform tasks. one big thing for which i use stream deck is creating macros such as w one tap on the icon on a preexisting key from the unit, i can actually start the stream, play a welcome message, drop a line in my streams chat window, and fire off a social media post w a predetermined message that im live and invite people to come in for that days event. as a side note, i chose the xl version because i dont like the idea of making folders because thats an extra tap (plus i automate everything w minimal tapping intervention), so i get a billion keys to assign automation to ea one so i never have to actually do anything at the computer because stream deck executes it all. talk about convenient, but its kind of eerie, to be serious for a second. i should mention that you can customize the background of ea key in the stream deck application so it can be heavily personalized, but thats just the tip of the iceberg for what you can do w this gold.

This is a review of the Elgato Stream Deck (USB 2.0) (Measures 118 x 84 x 21mm or 4.6” x 3.3” x .8”, is approx.. 6.7oz and is compatible with Windows 10 (64 bit) and macOS 10.11 or later.) Summary – While I am not using this for the intended purpose, I love this thing. I essentially have it programmed for my 15 most commonly used applications instead of for streaming applications. Unlike the competition, this one has amazing LCD keys while the others are limited to backlit keys. Being able to change each photo key to whatever I want them to be is great and the clarity looks very nice. Since this gets its power from the USB port, there is no extra power cable to worry about. The best part is that I do not need to use any of the Elgato capture cards to use this. It would just integrate very easily with them if you need to. Key features. 15 LCD Keys – You can customize each key separately. Each LCD uses 72 x 72 pixels. (.jpg or .png is recommended, but should also work with .bmp or .xpm) You can also adjust the brightness of the keys within the software. I have used various sized photos up to 512 x 512 with no problems at all. So far it appears you can go larger in size if you maintain the ratio. (Height and Width being the same size.) The keys have a nice feel to them and it feels like a semi hard gel I guess. It is not a hard plastic feel. The button has a noticeable depress sensation when being used is smooth and I do not have any issues with it not working quickly. This has been very reliable so far. The stand is pretty straight forward. Does not seem to be overly sturdy, but would be considered sturdy for a general use in where the stream deck does not get moved around a lot. The stand also has several notches so you can adjust it to the angle of your choice. If you want to use without the stand, you can do that as well. If you need to, this has the ability to do two functions at the same time with the touch of a single button. Just drag a second function over onto the same key to do this. You can link actions to Elgato Game Capture, OBS, Twitch, Twitter, TipeeeStream, and others. The included software is very straight forward and easy to use. The software allows you to fine tune everything and gives you a preview of your keys as you work on the setup – changes. The software allows you to use websites, launch programs, use hotkeys, create folders to have separate categories such as games, multimedia controls, etc. The software can be setup to auto update which is nice. Taking one star away as the cable should be separate. They could have designed this with a normal micro usb port. This way we could use our own custom length cables. The way it is now, the cable may be too long or short for what you need and if you damage the cable in any fashion, the unit is pretty much shot unless you pay to get it rewired. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop any issues with ongoing use.

Ive had this thing for a couple days now. Yeah, its expensive. But Ive already found a ton of uses for it. Im sick of resizing windows and now I have one button to put the window exactly where I want it. I am constantly fidgeting with volume and these buttons make it much easier. I also need to keep a detailed log of what Im working on and now I have a single button that opens my log file and adds a timestamp. There are like a dozen other things Im using this for. I got one for my brother as a belated Christmas gift. I really like this thing. Its solid. It has a ton of options. It has an SDK so I can create plugins for it if I cant find what Im looking for. This is perfect for programmers and any kind of power user of computers. I guess streaming is popular so thats how its marketed but it has hundreds of uses. The buttons can have animations on them too! Its a tech geeks dream!

This little device is gorgeous. It has touchscreen controls and a bright and high quality display on it. My husband is the actual content creator and editor but I was personally shown how to program this. Within about 5 minutes of what he told me to do, I was able to program my own effects. As a word of note, in the the professional world, this is called an IR, which stands for instant reply. They use this for stored effects that you want to use more than once. All you have to do is program it once and you’re good! It has more new “pages” than you will ever use. You just touch the controls to create your first one. This DOES work with OBS which is the software you download so you can make your live streams for your YouTube videos. A quick google search and you will find the a site of the list of programmable effects, which there are hundreds, if not thousands. Best of luck to you!

I use this to automate a lot of my workflow. Its far more customizable than extra keyboard/mouse buttons, so I highly recommend it for power users. Using additional pages and profiles, including profiles that automatically activate when a particular program is in focus, you can have much more than 15 commands. Obviously its great for online streaming too, since thats the main use case for it.

I love using the Stream Deck so far because I can be lazy and turn my Hue lightbulbs on or off or do whatever with that from my desk. Even if you are not a streamer, this Stream Deck can function really well for any gamers or casual users. There are so many ways to use this Stream Deck like connect it to your Shadowplay, Hue, have random text that you want to spam your friends, etc. Its all there and its great. My complaint with this so far - When you push a button, it seems to be like how you push hard on the screen and you see that weird effect. Even if you push lightly, it still does it, but I guess thats how it works. It kind of bothers me in a way how I keep seeing this from pushing buttons.

This is the best addition I bought for my stream and setup. Not only does it handle everything I need for my stream but I can program buttons and create folders to open programs I need for work, open files I send frequently and anything else I can think of. If you’re looking to streamline your work or bring flare to your stream, do not hesitate to hit the buy now button. The 15 keys is the perfect size and you can add a folder to a folder to a folder enabling you to have endless functions. Best. Purchase. Ever.
