I dont use this for gaming. I use mostly in AV programs like Final Cut Pro (video editor) and Digital Performer (digital audio workstation). Sadly, I also just use it from the Finder and use it more for loading Netflix and changing the volume and pausing/playing VLC movies than for doing real work. But is is just a joy to use. I still havent set it up all the way, but adding icons and custom action is quite easy. Im sure it would be great for Twitch streaming, as a switcher. If you like gadgets and have the money, you cant go wrong. Just to show a clock and CPU usage is worth it, plus quick buttons to load your favorite video sites. It is great for real work too. I use it to switch articulation for sampled instruments, etc. in my audio sequencer. I use it with a Mac, but it must work just as well with a PC.

I love the Algato stream deck. Helped me a lot for programs, fusion 360 and 3D printing. It’s a good help with perfect buttons! Quality is nice! The software is in the beginning not so easy but you can get a lot of help on YouTube.

Should have gotten this a long time ago. It can be used to automate live streams with obs and other apps.

Love this thing! I use it to edit feature films with Media Composer on a Mac. It took a while to figure out, but now I have HUNDREDS of shortcut actions/macros. I only use the stream deck software to assign the Keyboard Maestro plugin, and then use that application to do everything else. I dedicate 4 buttons to switch to 4 different screens. This gives me 112 buttons (hundreds more with modifier keys). For example the top right blue button turns off the other 3 colours macro groups, enables its own macro group and launches an action which pastes all the icons for that group to each stream deck button. Way better than the stream deck software. I hope this helps.

I held off on buying a stream deck for a long time. I just had hotkeys set up on my keyboard. My regret is i didnt buy this sooner. It does so much more than switch scenes. For example - One key press and 7 applications and websites open. The screen saver that you can create is fun too.

I first purchased a Stream Deck in 2017, and it was a game changer for recording footage, and doing livestreams. I still have my first device, and it works great. I decided to purchase another so I could add some more features for my livestreams, but Ive gone through 3 different devices to troubleshoot this newest batch. And each device has had an issue. - Been laggy. - Froze to the point that Ive needed to reboot the device. - Buttons were scratchy feeling. - Color is way off on the LED panel. I have the newest one I bought next to my old one in the attached photos. Its hard to tell on the photos, but the new device (left) has an odd blue-ish tint with some backlight bleed. The old one (right) has accurate colors and looks great. Im debating on returning the new one again in hopes that I can get another one with the same quality that I purchased years ago. Its crazy to think that a device that costs next to $90 has this many issues now.

This little product is amazing; I wont go on about it because most everyone looking at it already knows what it does. What I will add is that I know several other people that have one as well and we all experience odd quirks every now and then. One of my friends also tends to have an issue with image burn, though Im sure Elgato would help out if he were to contact them. A recent thing they added was a CPU monitor but it isnt at all accurate from what I can tell. Im not sure where its getting its readings from but I removed it because I cant rely on it. I use this in Photoshop, emails, work, stream moderating, my own livestreams, Discord, Pandora/Spotify, and more. My desk is full of Corsair products and Im glad to have this one in my lineup. EDIT: I had to come back after over a year or so on use with Windows because Ive switched to ArchLinux and dont enjoy having this pricy paperweight on my desk (nor does my husband). We would love for Corsair to be Linux-friendly. Star docked for this reason, as well as several buggy quirks that seemed to take a while to work out over my last few weeks on Windows.

Gave this for a Christmas gift last year. They love it for normal / casual use. Not necessarily for media people.

I bought this on a whim when I saw it on sale. I am not a streamer -- not even a gamer. (I had to look up streamer.) But I am finding the Stream Deck pretty handy. Maybe a little early to be writing a review -- but from what I have already tried, I am pretty sure I am going to love this. If youre a non-gamer, think of this as a way-cooler version of the function keys (or, as we love to call them, Fn Keys, because of the fn key on Apple laptops, and because its fun to say). Or a poor-mans version of Apples Touch Bar. What you have here is a customizable grid of keys that can do things for you. Launch a file. Open a folder. Actuate a tool in Photoshop. Trigger a URL. Like the Touch Bar (and unlike the Fn keys), the keys are labeled electronically and change to accommodate multiple functions. The hardware is great. Very solidly built with a metal case, which gives it enough weight to stay solidly in place, whether its resting on the silicone feet on the back, or placed in the included rack, which tilts to a range of angles. Feels like a premium product. 15 clear buttons are illuminated from behind by a color LCD panel, creating the function labels. The feel of the keys is perfect -- solid, with a great snap, I can see how a gamer would like this -- working at gamer speed, you can hit a button and know it registered. Some reviews complain of a short USB cord; the one on mine is 5 feet (150 cm) so I think they made a hardware change. But the cable is still hard wired (a USB micro jack would mean you can use your own cable of whatever length you want). The software that comes with it is for gamers. Its rich with functions gamers will love but the rest of us will find of no use. But they are customizable. One of the functions is HotKey, which can fire off a key. Combined with the app Keyboard Maestro, I think this will do most of what I want (e.g. trigger Photoshop tools, since all of Photoshop has key commands). But it needs setup so I will not get full use of it right out of the box. Fair enough -- El Gato is focusing on their intended market. Expect to spend a little time with it to learn how to set it up. Fortunately the software is The El Gato website has nicely done tutorials. All are aimed at gaming but I think they cover what I need to so -- start apps, trigger hotkeys, launch files and folders, type text strings, multimedia (play, pause, volume, etc.). You can fully customize the key graphics using El Gatos nicely designed graphics or build your own. Easy to get started. Download the software (Mac or Windows) and install. Plug the Stream Deck into a USB port. Press the Welcome key that is pre-loaded and you are on the El Gato Welcome page on their website. Watch the welcome video and you see how to set up your keys. Their examples are all things gamers will understand but non-gamers will understand well enough.

I use this device for my twitch stream (errrrmergerd) and absolutely love that I can have multiple profiles, manage audio, scenes, apps, etc. muting in discord but keeping my mic on to chat to viewers is helpful. Using it to auto fill text boxes is great too. Controlling my lights was a plus as well! I recommend it to anyone needing it for even the smallest of tasks. It’s also looks good on your desk as you can modify the screensaver and icons to be whatever you want. 10/10 recommend ^_^
