> 3 dayI had an old 7 pin connector ao I decided it was time to upgrade and this was great. It comes with butt connectors for auxiliary power and trailer brakes I cut those off and directly soldered them because I plan on keeping it on for years. I also bought a connector that goes in the middle of the brake/turn lights and has the 4 pin so that was really great

> 3 dayModified it slightly to fit through the old hole drilled in the stock bumper on my 1992 F-350. Works well. My only gripe is that the spring on the 7-pin connector door hinge was not strong enough to really snap the door closed. I ended up pushing the pin out, twisting the spring another turn and putting back in place, and reinserting the pin. (I dont recommend doing this, you might end up damaging the door and hinge.)

> 3 dayThe number on packaging says 47185 but no bracket was included like some of the pictures show. As such, there is no way to mount it. It is useless without a bracket to mount unless you already have one or figure out which one to buy separately. As of Jan 2023, if you look at the photos for the product, you will see two different product packaging with the same 47185 item #. On one of them, the label makes it clear that the bracket is included. The other packaging does NOT indicate the mounting bracket is included. It seems I received the one without that didnt clearly list the mounting bracket as included. Since this item has been sold for years, Im assuming something changed over the years. Whether I received an old version, or a newer version of the 47185, I cant be sure. Either way, be aware there is a risk you are going to receive no mounting bracket. If you dont need the mounting bracket then this wont matter. However, I did and Im sure many/most do. If they sold the bracket separately for a few bucks, I probably would have just gone ahead and ordered the bracket. However, that doesnt appear to be the case, so I dont really know what they expect you to do.

> 3 dayFord couldn’t get a factory controller to work with my 2017 Expedition with tow prep package. I bought this and Hopkins brake controller with quick connect plug to my factory brake controller wire. Had everything installed and working out n 15 minutes. Plug the 4 way flat to 4 way flat tap ground to frame and splice brake wire together and 12v constant if you have to charge camper battery. Mount adapter. DONE

> 3 dayI havent hooked it up yet because a tester I bought shows the tail light is not working from the current adapter. I will be using this soon and believe I may have found a work around, otherwise it will fit just fine to the new trailer that I bought this for, I think the capped wires may be used for trailer braking which I dont plan on using at this time but nice to know its available.

Greater than one weekWell made product, comes with a mounting bracket, which is not noted in the description. Wiring is easy, follows the standard 7 pin wire colors. The material is a hard plastic, instead of a rubberized plastic, which may be more prone to breaking in colder temperatures. Convenient 4 pin connector and 7 pin connector in one is a bonus. I would recommend this product to a friend.

> 3 dayUsed this to wire up a Tekonsha brake controller, etc to a 2008 Toyota Sienna. Nothing particularly exciting to note here, its exactly as pictured and described. After spending some heavy cash on a kit from a particular online trailer place for my last tow kit, I found it cheaper and less wasteful to order the parts separately.

> 3 dayLoved this product. It helped me to add a seven pin trailer plug to my 4 pin plug on my Santa Fe 2021 without loosingmy 4 pin. You immediately get the brake light/tail light function for your 7 plug. For trailer electrical brake you will need to install a brake controller though Very! Very limited instruction was the the only downside. I used uhaul instalation videos on YouTube that were very helpful.
