Greater than one weekYep this is a good product. Go ahead and save yourself the headache and buy a brake controller right now. I should have purchased the 79.99 brake controller when I ordered this connector and in the pinch of the moment I then had to buy the exact same brake controller for 126.xx in a store to get the job done. Save yourself that 46 dollars and order a brake controller, in that regard, I would recommend a brake controller that has the custom pinch feature to truly control the trailer. The rig that I just set-up was a 2004 f250 v10 and the trailer Im preparing is a large 27 foot puma camper with bunks. This was a good 7 pin connector, plenty of wire and very easy to install in your factory spot. Sturdy aswell, NOT chinsy.

> 3 dayI purchased this for an install of a tow package on my wifes 2011 Chevy Traverse. There really isnt any place to securely mount this on a 2011 Traverse. I had to fashion a 1/2 inch thick metal spacer to be able to use it. I dont recommend buying this for a Chevy Traverse as it wont work unless you have the ability to cut, drill and install a .5 thick piece of metal stock. It was a PITA but only took 20 minutes because my neighbor had a drill press and metal cutter. The product its self is well built and works. The supplied bracket is not overly sturdy and you must use caution when plugging in a trailer as it could easily be bent.

> 3 dayThis adapter is mediocre quality at best. The mounting bracket is thin metal that will flex. You will need to hold the adapter when you plug in your trailer harness. The supplied screws were small (10-32 perhaps). Large enough to work, but nothing more. The rubber cover over the four flat wire connector is also thin, I dont expect it to last very long. The biggest problem was the part that was supposed to plug into my existing flat four wire connector, would not. My truck had a Ford connector already and I wanted this adapter so I would not have to do as much wiring. But I had to cut off the connectors and solder the wires together because the Hopkins plug was made in a way that didnt allow it to plug into the Ford plug. The contacts are bright stainless, brass/copper contacts would be more durable. The Hopkins adapter will get the job done, but it is a much lower quality product than the Ford factory connector on my other truck.

> 3 dayUsed this to wire up a Tekonsha brake controller, etc to a 2008 Toyota Sienna. Nothing particularly exciting to note here, its exactly as pictured and described. After spending some heavy cash on a kit from a particular online trailer place for my last tow kit, I found it cheaper and less wasteful to order the parts separately.

> 3 dayMounting this to my 2016 Chevy Express van was a piece of cake. Didnt need instructions. Mounted to bottom of bumper left of the hitch. Looks and functions as factory installed. Nice and secure, clean, now maintenance free. Coupled with the Curt 55540 and the and Curt 14090, I have a total of 180 bucks and less than 45 minutes work into this with all 3 items. Was quoted $850-$1,000 from installers/dealers. Ridiculous. Did this myself for over 80% less!
