These things used to cost a fortune and if you want to do 10Ge, you will have to spend more. However, when you are looking for screwed up wiring that might be in the walls or ceiling, this will find it. You will have to do a little reading to understand how to use it, but it works fine.

Tools like this are pretty spendy and honestly, I probably wont use all the features it has. But man it has saved me a lot of heartache while hard wiring my home. Youll kick yourself for not having one of these for sure.

Nice tool for checking ethernet cables.

This unit does what other products 3x its price does. Dropped it 50 feet and, except for a couple scratches, it is perfectly fine.

Originally, I was thinking about buying the Klein VDV526-200, but after using the VDV501-851, I think I made the better choice.
