Liftmaster 41c4220a Gear and Sprocket Kit for Chamberlain, Sears, Craftsman and LiftMaster 1/3 and 1/2 HP Chain Drive Models

I was worried when my gear pulley stripped off. I thought it would be time consuming and expensive fix. But then I watched some youtube videos and ordered this part. It was super easy to fix it. I have adjusted the settings so my garage door doesnt jerk while touching the ground and lubricated all the parts with lithium white grease. Now my garage door opens/closes way quieter. Hopefully I wont have to do this again for a couple of decades.

Outside of one tricky spot in the installation, it was quite easy to remove and install. I supplemented the instructions by watching a YouTube video. But the video wasnt really necessary. When putting the gear in, use the white gear grease that is provided and dont be stingy. The shipping container was very good. Replacing the gear yourself is a real money saver!

the only problem was at my old unit pretty tight position in my garage still a lot better than $300.for new unit.

The flange is not the correct size. Didnt work. Just took the gear off and used that.

Factory style part. Came with everything I needed and the instructions were very clear. Part was simple to install and took around 15 mins for me to change out. Took far longer to readjust the tension and chain settings on the door. If you have any kind of mechanical aptitude this should be a good option to save yourself a costly service call.

When the automatic garage door lift broke - I figured oh no, here comes a hefty repair bill. Hubby is somewhat handy, I found these parts online - and now - LiftMaster door is working wonderfully again! Happy wife / Happy life! Glad the product went in as easily as it did. As I said - hubby is only somewhat handy. I didnt hear lots of grumbling from the garage as he installed it - so it must not be too difficult.
