Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

My female rat ignored this for the first few few hours we put it in her cage and since then has spent every sleeping moment snuggling in it. We hang it from the top of the cage. This is so much better than the igloo or wooden houses. Easy to clean, tough, and cheap. Two rats should fit in there perfectly. UPDATE! I have four of these now. One can fit four large female rats. It cracks us up how all the rats will pile in during the winter. I have had the hangers break on a few (four rats are heavy), but we poked holes in the legs and used wire to hang them back. These are easy to clean and the rats adore them over all of our soft fleece hammocks.

I’ve never had a rat that didn’t love these and I’ve bought many of these over the years. Idk if they’re chewproof because my rats don’t chew but, I’m presuming that an animal that really wanted to chew it up could because it is made of plastic. Hard plastic though so, it’s not flimsy by any means.

My four female rats all love this! Although all of them fit in it, it seems they are more comfortable with just three at a time in there. Seems pretty sturdy, my only real concern is that the hooks attaching it to the roof of the wire cage are perhaps not the best design. Not only were they hard to get on, but I still worry about if they will hold...but theyve been all over it and it hasnt given any hint of being unsound yet!

One of my three rats loves this. It can fit more than one, but my other two rats dont see interested for whatever reason. Its a good product in general, but I took off one star because the plastic is a bit flimsy. In the process of attaching it to the cage, one of the snaps broke off. Thankfully, it still hangs fine without it.

Ordered this a few weeks ago and it took no time at all for my two males rats to start tussling over who got to sleep in it. And when they are in a snuggly mood, they squeeze both of their tubby butts in there. Its a definite hit. As for me -- I like it because it is easy to install, it is easy to remove and clean, and if I ever decide I do not want it hanging from the top of the cage anymore I can just flip it over and it sits on a surface. Really great product.

When the item arrived, it was bigger than I expected and took some effort to get it to hang correctly in my rats cage, which is on the smaller side. My rats love it though, so I am happy with this purchase! I think this will be a great, more sturdy alternative to the cloth hammocks that I usually buy, which my rats completely shred within a few weeks

Easy to assemble. I used metal shower hooks to attach to tops of my rats cages. I bought my first one in 2017 and my 3 rats loved them so much I bought another one for them. I now have 4. 2 in each cage. Once in a while I find my 3 adult male rats all crammed into one. It is perfect for 2 adult rats. Good quality. I highly recommend this product.

It was a lot bigger than I expected, but my two sugar gliders fit perfectly it. They love it as well! they only downside is it does make a little bit of noise when they move around in it. Other than that its perfect and easy to clean!

I wanted something for my childs rats that they wouldnt chew, (they tend to chew their fabic hammocks). This does the job. It is a little small for her Dumbo Rats, only one fits comfortably in there, however two of them manage to squeeze in. They seem to like it and it is easy to clean and assemble. Pros: Quality plastic, easy to clean, easy to assemble and sturdy. Cons: a little small for large rats

I bought this for my three rats as I was looking to add some more play areas for them. I love that you can either hang it from the roof of your cage, or flip it upside down and stand it on a flat surface. I switch it up every few weeks, to keep them entertained. When its hung from the roof they take turns sitting in it, and when its on the ground it seems to be used as a climbing frame. It is shipped in two separate pieces, and clips together in seconds. Its also easily taken apart again for cleaning. I chose the Large, and its the perfect size for my rats. All three of them can fit in there as theyre quite small, but its usually just one or two of them in there at a time.
