Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

Super easy to assemble and sturdy! It can fit about 3 adult rats at a time, and they love to squeeze into it together. Can be used hanging (like pictured) or standing up. Also very easy to clean. I suggest putting a little piece of fleece in there to make it soft, they love that.

Its good for smaller animals. My guinea pigs are too big to fit in it when its together. I took them apart for them to use.

I love this product so much, Ive bought it numerous times for my 3 boys. They LOVE to hang out in their space pod & cuddle puddle on top of each other. I think the more closed off space is really comforting to them, they sleep in there all the time. If you have rats, this is a must! Theyll love you for it :)

Update: I have since tried a few more times. Ive gotten it secure enough that eventually both my rats took to it and love it. It doesnt fit both rats very well so they sometimes fight over it. Smaller than I thought it would be (that part is my fault), seems like very cheap material that will come apart and the connectors dont feel secure. I worried that this would fall down with my rats in it.

Love the versatility of being able to hang it or flip it over to stand on the cage floor. The rats enjoy it a lot, and seem to slightly prefer it on the floor but they still use it a lot when its hanging. Its nice to be able to mix things up a little so they dont get bored with the cage layout. It comes apart and snaps back together again easily for cleaning. The clips are a little tricky to figure out at first but once you get the hang of it they are fine and surprisingly sturdy. I try to be careful though, as I do know of one person who has managed to snap off one of the clips trying to maneuver it in and out for cleaning so I guess it is possible.

This was a replacement for my cloth-based hammock for my pet rats. I shouldnt be upset with the rats because they simply did what they naturally do and chewed through the hangers. This replacement has become their new home. All three regularly hang out inside together. They are all medium sized and probably have room for another to join in. The nice thing is how it mounts to the ceiling of the cage. The integrated clips attach to the cage wires and hold the pod securely in place. Im thinking of purchasing an additional pod to use at the bottom of my multi-tiered cage. It comes highly recommended!

So I bought this for my 4 rat boys who are housed in a feisty ferret cage. Now the cage isnt the best and I was worried that the Sputnik pod wouldnt clip on to it. But it did just fine. Im a little afraid I might snap off the tabs because the bars are kinda thick. So I will just pop off the top of the sputnik and wipe it down with vinegar and water to clean it. My boys went right for it and my biggest rat Dean claimed it as his before I got all 3 legs hooked on. It came in the purple and turquoise color shown.

My rats absolutely LOVE this product! I have 2 of them and they are my rats favorite sleeping area. I like that you can either hang on stand these up, it just adds a little bit of variety to your cage. And they are very sturdy, I never worry about them falling. Three of my rats have slept in 1 pod together and it held strong! You can add some soft bedding or not, either way they seem to be comfortable! Oh, and its easy to clean so good for us critter owners! I would say definitely get one of these items for your critter, theyll feel spoiled and safe!

I honestly had my doubts about this at first, but ended up shocked as I saw all three of my rats piled up in it, snuggled up. Needless to say, my rats LOVE this little thing. It’s their favorite place to sleep. They even prefer it over some of the softer hammocks I’ve bought as well. Very easy to put together and install on the top of the cage.

My rats love this pod, although I recommend the large size for rats. Its very sturdy to stand upright or hang from the ceiling of the cage and you can easily take it apart to clean. Definitely buying another!
