Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

Love em because my rats love to pile in them. But I am weary of taking them down frequently to clean them because the tabs that allow you to hang them upside down seem a little flimsy.

When I got the product the smaller part would not stay snapped into the larger part. That being said, I hung the larger piece upside down on the top of the cage (its incredibly sturdy which I was worried about!) and they love it, and just flipped the smaller one upside down and put it on the floor of their cage as a little hiding/sleeping spot!

I know this item probably works best with smaller animals. But, our chinchilla loves it! He stuffs his body in it...of course they love snug places....and he sleeps in it and relaxes. He likes to turn around in it and his body fits it perfectly because of the way it is designed. I think it has to do with the way it is shaped and the fact it is round just like his furry body...lol! He has chewed on it, inspected it, and loves reclining in it. In fact, we are getting close to purchasing a 2nd one. If you have a chinchilla, just give it a try! We keep his attached to the top of the cage for more space.

My two rats love this orb! They love sleeping in it and hiding things in it. I clean it weekly with natures miracle small animal cleaner and it’s super easy. They don’t try to chew it.

My rat loves it ! He prefers it to be in the hanging position so Id recommend just trying it one way and seeing how they respond.

Super durable(highly recommended for rats) and has multiple uses for enrichment and nesting. It’s a simple two piece system that makes it easy to clean and assemble.

Theyre still warming up to it, i bought them too much stuff at once, and they really like something else i bought them. But its large, sturdy, no sharp molding lines, and was very easy to install on the ceiling of our wire cage.

My rats ADORE it. Usually I find 2-3 in the pod during the day but sometimes they fit 4-5 in there :D After 4 weeks they have nibbled on the sides just a tiny bit but not nearly enough to hurt them or effect the pod. Just a few bite marks. They like to pull cloth bedding into it. I would choose/recommend it over any of the current small animal hammocks/hides on the market if youre looking for a place for your rats to snooze. Edit: I ordered a second pod about 2months after my first purchase and had to downgrade my review to 4 stars as the company only sent me half of the pod. Rats still love it though and amazon is sending me a new one.

I have the hardest time putting it upside down. But once its on it stays. I have two full grown male rats both fit together in it and love it. Easy to clean.

this looks cool. It is nicely built and it hangs easily and securely from the top of my cage. It is also easy to clean. Only problem is my rat hates it! Not the manufactures fault, but does cut down on its usefulness to me. Update. It took him two weeks but not he has decided he likes sleeping up at the top of his cage. Ive changed my rating from a 4 to a 5.
