> 3 day1.5 years ago I purchased a Miele upright for $750 because I have pets and wanted something that had great suction power. When I tried in the store it was wonderful….HOWEVER, when I got it home it was a different story since it weighed 21 pounds and was soooooo difficult to maneuver in my home. I dreaded when I had to vacuum (which is very often), so I succumbed to the fact I just needed to move on. Yep….. many nights spending endless hours reading reviews of “the best vacuums”. With this being said, I settled on this Shark model and I am soooooo glad I did!! This Shark vacuum out performed the $750 Miele within minutes; it was 5 pounds lighter with better suction and maneuverability. Will never own another vacuum except for a Shark in the future.

> 3 dayMy main takeaway is that it came with a squeaky wheel. Otherwise, it works quite well.

> 3 dayThis vacuum is really awesome. I would love to give it 5 stars for how easy and useful it is to use, however the wand started going out on me after 3 years of using this machine. It was unfortunately not covered under the warranty, and costs another $40 to replace from the company. (I guess its a pretty common issue according to the internet). If I didnt have an issue with that I would have given it a 5 star review.

> 3 daySeems well built (like a tank!), picks up seeds etc (we have birds in the dining room) off the hardwood floors no problem even on the carpet setting. Just 2 complaints, and maybe theyll be less a problem as I use it, but 1. It weighs 16 lbs.....previouse model was ~12lb. 2. the hose appears to be shorter than the previous so I cant just detach the canister & set it down while I use the wand. I have to lug the whole thing. Ill probably keep it, but will come back with an updated review after a month or so.

> 3 dayI like my sharp. I love the fact it cleans carpet and hardwood/ linoleum. The suction could be a little more powerful but its agility and ability to separate from the base makes up for it. I havent used it for my dog yet but with the air filter I can tell the difference just after cleaning a room.

> 3 dayLikes: 1) Works great on hardwood 2) works great on carpet 3) Does a very good job with dog hair 4) Easy to empty 5) The feature that is super nice is how easily configurable this vacuum is. It is to separate the canister from the stem and continue vacuuming and being able to reach under the bed or couch. Its also very easy to unhook the hose for a quick spider web or something the brush wont get. The stem can be used in different lengths which is nice for vacuuming the car. Dislikes: 1) the blasted hose attachments do NOT stay in the holders designed for them on the side of the vacuum. Idk why this is such a hard feature for Vacuum engineers to get. The attachments work fine while in use. 2) As I said above the vacuum is easily configurable, however, there is a safety breaker wire that runs through each of the parts, so the vacuum will only run if that connection is complete. Sometimes the hose or the canister wont be connected exactly right and the vacuum wont start or will sporadically shut on and off like when you are charging your phone with an old worn-out wire. Its no big deal because once you know what to check its easy to fix, and it did save me from vacuuming with the canister flap slightly open one time. But it was frustrating before I knew what was going on and I suspect a lot of people leaving the reviews of randomly stops working and similar bad reviews just dont realize that the hose or the canister is not fully snapped into place. Make sure you hear and feel a solid click whenever you reconnect an attachment.

> 3 dayBride had a much older version of this vacuum and loved it until it died. I figured the quality was down like most good products that are new and successful....boy was I wrong. This is an excellent machine and superior to the older one we had. Momma loves it.

> 3 dayThe packaging was clearly resealed. Most everything was already pre-assembled in the box with no packaging surrounding it. All the packaging was just shoved in the box haphazardly. The vacuum has been used previously from what I could tell. I thought for $349 this was a new and not a refurbished one. Only time will tell.

> 3 dayHave 2 yes 2 Australia shepherd’s. Lots of hair. This vacuum sucked it all up. Loved the dust bin. Easy to clean n wash. Loved the different ways you can detach it. BUT. It stopped working. I suspect the cord. It seemed cheap. I guess I play electrician or buy a new one, which I would buy again.

05-01-2025I bought this vacuum back in February 2019, and have used it about an average of 2 hours every week since. The vacuum still has great suction. If there has been a loss in power, its small enough that I havent noticed. We do keep the filters clean and actually replaced them a few months ago. I dont know what magic Shark used on these rollers, but I literally havent had to cut hair out of them once. We have 2 women with long hair in living in our house, and a dog, and the rollers seriously dont have ANY hair wrapped around them after 2 years. Thats freaking impressive to me. The powered hand-held pet hair removal attachment thing is also very impressive. Ive put that through its paces vacuuming off our couches and stairs each week. Same thing, no hair wrapped around the little roller and the electric motor driving the roller is still going strong. Now, on to the customer service part of the story. Recently the main 2 rollers completely seized up. I was using the vacuum as normal and started smelling burning rubber or plastic (not sure). About 10 seconds later the roller light indicator turned red and the rollers stopped. Vacuum still works great, but I cannot get the rollers to budge at all even by hand. I assume something inside the drive assembly / mechanism broke. I went on to Sharks website, created an account with Shark and registered my product (as suggested in their warranty section), then called the 1-800 number for help. I waited on hold for less than 5 minutes. The customer service representative was intelligent. She was able to text me a link that created a video call while I was on the line with her so that I could show her exactly what the issue was. After less than 10 minutes on the phone, she had emailed me a tracking number for the free Duo-clean Floor Nozzle with Zero-M (a $90 part that was covered by the warranty), which will arrive here in 2 weeks. She then apologized that it was going to take 2 weeks, because shipping is usually faster than that but there are substantial delays right now due to COVID-19. (I work in the shipping industry so this was no surprise, and honestly 2 weeks was faster than what I expected anyway.) I am extremely impressed with the customer service, and this experience will likely drive me to buy another Shark vacuum when it comes time to replace this one. The only reason why Im not giving this 5 stars is because the standard handheld brush attachment (not the motorized one) has pretty poor suction. This isnt because of the vacuum, but because of the way the brush attachment was designed. It is actually the upholstery attachment, with a brush that clips to the end of it. The way the brush clips on lets a ton of air leak around it, so the suction is terrible with this thing (pics included). The vacuum also doesnt have anywhere to store this attachment on it, so I have to store it in the closet on a shelf and then carry it around with me if Im using it. Im really confused on why they went this direction in the design, because it doesnt work well at all. Like I said, almost perfect. I still love this thing though. Great vacuum.
