> 3 daySuction post is great. This is one if the best vacuums Ive used for my couch. Gets ALL the dog hair. It has great turning and maneuvering and I recommend it for all vacuum needs Except stairs.... Its clunky having to hold the can and stick, but it does work well.

> 3 dayHave 2 yes 2 Australia shepherd’s. Lots of hair. This vacuum sucked it all up. Loved the dust bin. Easy to clean n wash. Loved the different ways you can detach it. BUT. It stopped working. I suspect the cord. It seemed cheap. I guess I play electrician or buy a new one, which I would buy again.

> 3 dayI have a St. Bernard and bought this vacuum for the no tangle spinning brush. At first,I loved this. It has really good suction. A little to much for small area rugs so I use it on the floor setting for that. It worked fine in the beginning. I have had it for six months and only use it once a week as I have a dyson for quick pick up and a cleaning lady who does a great job. Im finding that the no clog brush stops running. Its not like the hair is entwined around the brush but I still have to stop way to often to clean it.

28-03-2025The Shark AZ1002 Apex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is a powerful and versatile cleaning machine that delivers exceptional results. It features a DuoClean system that combines a bristle brush with a soft roller to pick up both large and small debris, and a self-cleaning brush roll that removes hair and other tangled items, ensuring that the vacuum is always in optimal condition. The Apex Powered Lift-Away design is a unique feature that allows the user to easily detach the canister from the vacuum and clean hard-to-reach areas, such as stairs and tight spaces. It is also a very lightweight vacuum, making it easy to move around and use for extended periods without fatigue. The Shark AZ1002 Apex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum is incredibly powerful, with a motor that delivers exceptional suction power, making it ideal for cleaning carpets, hardwood floors, and other surfaces. It also features an anti-allergen seal that traps 99.9% of dust and allergens, ensuring that the air in your home is cleaner and healthier. Another feature that I appreciate is the LED headlights, which make it easy to see and clean even in dimly lit areas. The vacuum also comes with a variety of attachments, including a crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush, making it a versatile cleaning machine that can be used for a wide range of cleaning tasks. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Shark AZ1002 Apex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum. It is a powerful, versatile, and easy-to-use vacuum that delivers exceptional results. > 3 dayFor Apex DuroClean Powered Lift Away AZ1002 T4 For the last 6 years, our old Shark Vacuum worked well. A great use & selling point was the ability to reconfigure the machine for different vacuum tasks. This is done without tools with snap fittings and these still work perfectly on the old vac. The old vacuums power rotator floor head still works but the corrugated flex hose that attached to the power section failed. This part is not user replaceable. Shark wanted $118.00 plus shipping to replace the whole floor power head. Since the machine was 6 years old we decided to up grade to a new model. With a new warranty. The machine came on time and was undamaged and well packed. Since this Shark vacuum was similar to our old vacuum, I was easy to assemble. It has the same snap connections that we loved in the old machine. When first assembled the new vac would not start. Re connecting the components solved the problem but we had continuing issues with the power. After trouble shooting the vac, we found the snap connection from the power module to the hose wand was the issue. In less than two weeks ownership this snap connection became harder and harder to snap in. It appeared to us the issue might be the plastic fitting was warped or otherwise misformed. To get a good secure fit [and get connectivity and power], we had to exert a great amount of force, then push the rocker tab down to get the desired click. My wife did not have the strength to do so. The Shark vac had arrived less than 2 weeks ago. Called Shark/Ninja customer service. Did a video chat, allowing the tech to see the issue. Neither the agent nor us could really figure out why it was so hard to click connect nor which plastic part was the culprit. The tech stated she would send the wand handle section [this part has the on / off switch] but neither of us was sure this would fix the issue. Shark never offered to replace the machine. I agreed to accept the replacement I wanted to make sure the other part of the connection- the power module would be sent if this didnt solve the issue. Then I was told the replacement part would cost me $89.00 plus shipping. I refused to pay and after more conversation, the agent offered a 50% discount and finally offered to sent free it if I paid for the shipping. This on a vacuum that was taken out the box less than two weeks earlier. Take heed, the Limited warranty is not worth the paper it was printed on. Since we were still in the return window, Amazon has agreed to take the product back and has issued a label for shipping. They will also credit my account upon acceptance of the Shark Vacuum. Thank you Amazon.

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum shortly after moving into my new apartment. Ill admit, I may be overcompensating due to the size of my apartment since its not very big. But nonetheless, I have been familiar with Shark Vacuums for as long as I can remember. My mother is a House Cleaner by occupation and Shark has always been her choice of vacuums. Im not one to be usually excited or impressed by a vacuums performance or vacuums in general, but this one I am definitely satisfied with. The one feature about it that I havent really experienced with vacuums all that much is the illuminated front lights. I literally clean my place in the dark now, and it REVEALS ALL. Every little spec of dust, piece of dirt, hair, any thing that cant be seen due to ceiling lights masking its presence. Nothing can hide. And its awesome. Another thing that caught my attention was the Advanced Anti-Allergen Complete Seal and HEPA filter. It literally smells as if the vacuum is renewing or cleaning the air. Its honestly really nice. The lift away feature is definitely great. Didnt realise how useful it was until needed. When everything is attached to the base the vacuum is a little bulkier that other stick vacuums or lower profile ones. So fitting in tight spot are limited when using the main brush roll. Speaking of brush roll. A feature that I think all vacuums should have that this one does is brush roll access. Two latches on each side of the vacuums head opens up the top like popping the hood of your car. Doing a little preventative maintenance once in a while I would imagine help make the vacuums life space run longer. Felt that was a pretty cool feature. I really like this vacuum. I am by no means testing its limits since my environment isnt that extreme or requires cleaning up all that more (be it dirt/sand or absurd levels or pet hair). But just as a whole it works and feels like a great vacuum.

> 3 dayI’ve had this vacuum for about a month now and here’s my honest review. Little back story we have a 1500 sqft home with dark wood color LVP, two girls, and 3 dogs. We have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs and if you know about them they shed ALOT! Big clumps of furry hair. Our newest addition fur baby is a Bernese Mountain dog, different hair but lots of shedding, we got her not long after my purchase of this vacuum and I’m so happy I did. The suction power on this is amazing and unlike any other I’ve seen. It has no trouble with the big clumps of hair, or the fine bits and all the sand, oh so much sand. One of the selling features for me on this model was the two brushrolls and the self cleaning brushroll. Ive tried robot vacuums and so many other products but I spend more time cleaning out the brush rolls and detangling all the big furry clumps of dog hair than it would if I were to just sweep the floor myself. But this vacuum I’ve had it’s times where I did have to clean it out because there hair is so long, but 95% of the time since using it, the self cleaning brush roll does work! I’ve watched it detangle through the brush roll view and I’m amazed. Nothing has ever worked for all this fluff before. The ability to quickly release the wand/handle has been great to get into those hard to reach areas. Huge pro I also love is that all the suction parts have a built in light meaning thr brush roll head, the wand, handle all have a light and with my darker floors this has been great to ensure I miss no spots. The description also states that it would kinda polish your hard floors giving it a cleaner look, and yes this is also true! I’ve noticed with each pass the floor itself color is better and less dull looking. By far my favorite is the suction, if you have a busy household with large shedding dogs and your living in fur and don’t know what to do, buy this vacuum and save yourself some sanity! Best investment ever!

> 3 dayI like all the features of my Shark APEX Upright Vacuum with DuoClean for Carpet and HardFloor Cleaning, Zero-M Anti-Hair Wrap, & Powered Lift-Away with Hand Vacuum (AZ1002). BUT... the darn thing WEIGHS A TON for a handicapped person to push around the house. Its a monster for those of us with not a lot of upper-body strength or who have diminished lung capacity. Thank God the Powered-Lift Away feature allows the user to detach the canister and set it down next to the user. This makes it easier to push the remainder of the upright handle/powered roller head around the carpet, but you still need to pick up and reset the canister every few step to do so. It would have been good if they had some rollers on the canister for better mobility when lifted away. So happy not having a bag to replace. The canister allows you to open the bottom of the captured dust/debris container which falls directly into your waste bin. And the Zero-M seems to be actually removing any hair from the brush-roll so users don’t have to do it manually. The instructions say you must keep vacuuming for a bit to give this cleaning feature time to do its work. So its a wait-and-see process. If it keeps the hair from being wrapped around the brush-roller, I will be very thankful. Time will tell...! I also like the crevice tool and the compact powered pet head, both of which are handy for use on my furnishings and keeping the nooks and crannies of my home clean. Wish they were better attached to the body of the vacuum when not in use, but you cant have everything. But they do work WELL and are dead useful in my multiple pet home. This new Shark vacuum has been a game changer for me. I VERY much like how it performs out of the box, but the weight and design has me wondering if I can actually manage to use it every week without needing a time-out to rest after each room. Some of the non-handicapped reviewers noticed it was rather heavy for use! Handicapped persons may want to consider this issue, and see if a lighter option will fit their needs.

01-04-2025This is the best vacuum I have used ,it is a bit heavier than Im used to,but it basically drives itself over the carpet. I did see a few reviews that it did not have good suction but I had no problems. I have 4 kids 12yrs down to 3yrs this is a good investment worth the money.
