Fast. Reliable.

Do not buy this router. Bought it two months ago and to this day it has not worked. I have fiber optic plug and go wifi. This router wont turn on or or connect. Rip off for a piece of trash

So far, great internet speed and reliability. It also gave me a much broader coverage throughout my house. That’s what I was looking for.

Ive been using it for a week and the truth is that I throw it away, it constantly disconnects, the 5g network is crap, one thing is the web configuration another for the application they never say the same, previously it worked with a Lynksys and was Well I wanted to change it for the number of devices that I have connected but that is another headache, the 2.4 network does not reach all of them and they remain disconnected, your privacy is completely null, everything goes to the Trend servers this seemed the worst to me, summary do not waste your money,

It is a replacement for Netgear R7000. It has been up and running for 17 days. I am happy so far. Compared with the Netgear which has buggy firmware, Asus Ax88u firmware seems to be more stable and easier to manage. Have not tried WIFI 6, but WIFI 5 signal and coverage are a big boost. BTW, it looks like ASUS is providing a warranty extension, which is sweet.

Straight forward install. Installed new firmware first thing. Checked the signal strength and it was pegged out 30 ft from outside the home away from the unit. If it had not been for my nieghbor having one I probably would not have purchased due to so many negitive 1star reviews. Honestly I dont get it. Easy install and what a WOW factor for performance.

Easy setup and fast wifi.

I had the previous version of this router as well for 4 years. This one handles more traffic without drops due to the extra CPUs. Rock solid router and the VPN works flawlessly as well.

I have spectrum gig down, running cat 8 from the modem to the router. No problems since setting this bad boy up. VPN features are a dream.

So I bought this product thinking Asus is really a good brand - well not in routers it seems. AX88U spec’s met all of my requirements and spent the last week getting the office ready for the install. Routers are usually a quick easy install, this was not the case to where I needed to call support. After their support went through their checks, they said the product was defective and I need to return it to the seller. This was a brand new product! I hoping I can return but I will be looking for another brand (due to defective product right out of the box or just plain horrible support - either one is not good if you are looking for reliable service). My recommendation - stay away from Asus routers.
