Bundle Includes Soldering Station and CHP170 Cutter

I think I got a knock off. It heats soldering points so slowly even on the highest setting. Next to a cheap Weller, this thing is borderline unusable. Too late to return :/

I had one of these at work so got me one for home since I liked it so much.

Great solder station

OK, lets get this out of the way: This is not a professional iron. I am fortunate enough to be able to use 2 Metcal soldering stations at work... now THOSE are professional soldering irons. However, for home use, for the price (approximatley 1/8 the cost of a Metcal station), this is an unbelievable buy. Ive only had mine several weeks but have been extremely impressed so far. If the long term performance holds up, then I will be an exceptionally satisfied customer. It heats up very quickly, the tip temperature is accurate and easily controlled. The tips appear to be of high quality (the included tip, while sufficient for everyday soldering, isnt big enough for big jobs, and it way too big for SMD work; I purchased a T18S3P for bigger jobs). The included dikes are also very nice.

Replaced my 18 year-old Weller, it was okay. This Hakko is really excellent. Heats quickly and easy to regulate. Hakko sounds like one of the Marx Brothers.

I love this thing. It heats up to 750 degrees in 40 seconds and keeps a nice even heat. The tip is small and precise but not too small. I use it mostly for tinkering with various electronic and wiring projects.

Quick temp. Super easy to use. Very smooth and clean operation.

NIB as described, good deal

This soldering station is the best I have ever used. Heats up rapidly, maintains the proper temperature, and the sponge and wire cleaner work very well to keep the tip clean and shiny. I was able to complete the assembly of a complex electronics kit (many components to solder) with pinpoint accuracy in a little over an hour. The procedure for changing the temperature is a little complicated, but once understood is accurate and easily enough accomplished. 5 stars are well deserved.
