This is a great remote and works well. Its about the same size as a car alarm remote. It comes with a clip to clip the remote to a car visor, but doesnt come with a keychain ring to attach with your keys. The instructions are horrible for this remote. It seems like they only put instructions for the new Genie garage door openers. It doesnt tell you if youre supposed to push the button on garage door opener or the remote. I had to guess how to program mine. I had one of the older Genie garage door openers, so mine only had 1 button and 1 light. If you are in the same situation, you can follow my instructions and not guess: 1. Press the physical button on the garage door opener unit (LED on the opener should blink) 2. Press the button on the remote that you want to program (LED on the opener should blink a few more times and then go solid) 3. Press the same button on the remote that you are programing (LED on opener should turn off) 4. Press the button on the remote and the garage door opener should work. The whole process should take about 20 seconds, so it is quite easy to program!

I had to call the garage door company to find out the model I needed, because my garage door model number was not listed on the package. Our garage door was too old. It arrived with instructions for pairing it with a more modern garage door. The instructions did not include my model of garage door. I called the company and to their credit, they walked me through the entire set up process for my 10 year old garage door. It only took a few minutes. The tech from Genie was great and stayed on the phone with me through the entire process.

Works fine. 4 stars because the buttons have a metrosexual feel to them, theyre not like the old school plastic buttons that clicked when you pressed em. I always feel the need to look back at my garage door to make sure it closes because there is no clicking sound when you press the button.

We had lost our remote for our Chamberlain Garage Door Opener, so I had purchased a Chamberlain remote. It took a long time to connect it to the unit, and finally I had to call technical service. With the Genie, pairing and connecting was a breeze. It may be because the units are made by the same manufacturer. Very compact and good range, Highly recommended.

Works from quite far away, I was surprised. Wish it just had one single button, I dont need 3 buttons for my one garage. They should make one with just the one button. Not to mention, after many tries to sync this with my garage door opener, I finally went to the website for help and found out that I could only sync with the middle button, that was NOT in the instructions for syncing up with the door opener. Oh well. Once I discovered that information, I was able to sync up first try. Would have been nice if that was in the instructions that came with the thing. Now that it is synced, works like a charm and I love it. Would have been 5 stars if not for the syncing problem. Well built, well made, works well, just need better instructions.
