> 3 dayOur home has an older Genie opener model that used a one-button remote (see picture for manual, old remote & new remote). The only annoying part of this process was getting the lens cover off of the opener itself to press the Learn Code button (it had 2 screws at the top of the cover, which were kind of hard to reach). Other than that, reprogramming this remote was so simple! Instructions were clear and it worked on the first try. My wife, who typically parks her car in the garage, is VERY happy.

Greater than one weekWorks great with my Overhead Legacy 800 garage door opener. Many of the reviews have complained about the range, but so far the range of the Genie G3T-R opener has been great. Ive tried if from over 75 feet away from my garage and it has worked flawlessly. Also, the G3T-R is very easy to program - Just push the LEARN button on the Overhead Legacy 800 unit (Light flashes on the unit) then press the button on the remote that you want to program 2 times to complete the programming - Push the button a 3rd time to engage the door opener - Thats it !!!

Greater than one weekThe top button works! Did not have another Genie garage door opener besides the one this remote is intended for, and programming all 3 buttons into the same opener seems kinda pointless... Me thinks Genie uses a rotating code system, marginally more secure than the mini-switch static code setup of yore, should take a determined cracker a few minutes rather than a few seconds to compromise the code. Unit is small, geniune Genie, slightly cheaper after shipping than at big box. So what the hey, did came with battery already installed, only need to pull out them tab blocker thing. Let the opener learn the code, and off we go. Beats handling a long stick held from the open car window lancer style to reach the button inside the garage.

> 3 dayRange is awesome, been using it for a while and the battery last long. buttons are too damn hard! sometimes you really got to press it, like really push the darn thing!

> 3 dayWe have the Intellicode 1 system and this opener works great with it. It does need to be set up for the Intellicode 1, but its easy to do and the instructions come with the opener. We have two of these small openers. One we use when we are out on the bicycles. It fits easily in a pocket. The other is because we have two cars in the garage and our house only came with one opener. I will say these openers do not stand up up to going through the washer and dryer. I left one in a pair of shorts that went through the wash and it did not work after that.

Greater than one weekI purchased this to replace the older 2-button model I had. I was able to get in working without help from the ambiguous instructions due to feedback from other users. This opener is a case of smaller not being better. I hang this on my visor and only need one of the three buttons, but have to consistently feel around for the right button to open my door. I would prefer a larger model similar to the prior 2-button design with larger, separated buttons.

Greater than one weekNeeded to add an additional remote to our system. It was just a matter of programming it like the remotes that came with the original door opener a few years ago, Just make sure that you order the same type of remote as the original....

> 3 dayBought this for my daughter, who started driving, in addition to the ones we have in our other vehicles. It was super easy to sync with garage door opener!

> 3 dayDon’t bother getting no name replacements, just get the originals like these. It took about two seconds to sync them up to my garage.
