> 24 hourSadly, my macbook pro version has no aftermarket RAM upgrade. But the SSD can. This kits is highly recommended and works. My macbook is like a new machine.

> 24 hourI replaced the OEM 128GB SSD which worked fine. However, when my battery failed I decided to upgrade since I had the case open anyway and needed additional storage. The new 1TB SSD is faster than my OEM and the additional storage is a great bonus. Reloading Catalina OS X was easy from backup. All told, it took me about 3 hours to do the installation and reload the operating system and my data. I am very happy with this purchase.

> 24 hourThe 250GB SSD in my MacBook Pro had become a seriously-limiting factor. I really needed about 1TB. This kit solved that problem. Installation of the new SSD in the MacBook Pro was straightforward with all the necessary tools and instructions supplied. No difficulty with the installation. The only problem I ran into was that the old SSD did not make good contact with the connector in the enclosure provided. Initially my MacBook Pro did not see the old SSD as an external drive (used to transfer all your old data to the Mac after the new disk is initialized). I found that pressing lightly on the SSD card in the enclosure solved the problem. A couple of strips of tape used as thin spacers between the SSD and the top of the enclosure solved the problem. Were it not for this one small glitch, I would have given this kit 5 stars. Regardless, this is an excellent value and has allowed me to put off purchasing another laptop for another year or so.

> 24 hourMade this purchase paying a premium for a company that prides itself on Mac. I’ve built PCs, so I should be able to do a Mac SSD hard drive update. However, when I finally got my info transferred. It’s not comparable to upgrade to BIG SUR. Mac flags the drive as a incomparable third party, they had a make shift work around in the past but it doesn’t work with new IOS. Drive also gets really hot, for a MacBook Air the hard drive is right on the back case and you can feel the heat on you lap. Poor support with SSD drive. They brag on comparability and sell a premium. However, it says third party device not comparable. Wait times are hours long and tech team tried to find ways to deny providing service stringing you along to give up. AVOID THIS SELLER !! Finally, one screw did not fit on the external SSD, so I asked for a replacement and they stalled and said I they could not help, with typical excuses.

> 24 hourI have a Macbook Pro Retina model A1425 and bought this SSD to increase my disk space; as advertised it was a very easy DIY installation (it took me barely 8 mins or so to do it), and after it was installed my Mac is ever running faster. So to me, this was a great purchase. Additionally it was shipped pretty fast, so two thumbs up for this item and the seller.
