11-04-2025The instructions are minimal and I didnt see anything more on the companys website but if you are knowledgeable enough then this is a slick upgrade. Essentially you remove your old SSD from your MacBook using the provided screwdrivers and install it in the provided external case. Install the new SSD into your MacBook and close it back up. Plug the external drive into the MacBook through a Thunderbolt to USB 3 adapter in my case. Run the MacBooks Internet recovery to install a new copy of OS onto the new drive and the pick migrate after install to transfer the old data and programs onto the new drive. It all worked perfectly for me with no problems. The new drive is maybe 20% faster than the old one. With USB 3 the migration was fast for my 400GB of data at around 200-400mb/s.

10-04-2025The unit came with a link for video instructions which made the install easy as cake. Once I installed it, I used Super Duper to transfer the files from the old harddrive. Flawless.

> 3 dayInstalled this drive on my Early 2013 MacBook Pro 15 inch and worked for a few days until it all of sudden was unable to be detected. It did have fast speeds when it worked. Installed in another Mac that was able to use this drive and an enclosure but no luck at all. Very disappointed. Installed the drivers and what not needed to have this drive operational.

> 3 dayMy first drive stop mounting in the first week. I got a replacement drive and it would either not mount or gives me the spin wheel and froze the whole system every other day that I had to restart my computer, basically making my Mac unusable after install the hard drive. Unfortunately I can no longer return the drive or I would. So I basically just waste my money on a piece of junk. I just ended up using the original ssd that came with my computer..
