> 3 daySystems hangs on 7 out of 10 times the drive is accessed. On 50% of those times, the only thing that will bring back the drive is a reboot. Buy only if you like staring at a spinning circle.

> 3 dayMade this purchase paying a premium for a company that prides itself on Mac. I’ve built PCs, so I should be able to do a Mac SSD hard drive update. However, when I finally got my info transferred. It’s not comparable to upgrade to BIG SUR. Mac flags the drive as a incomparable third party, they had a make shift work around in the past but it doesn’t work with new IOS. Drive also gets really hot, for a MacBook Air the hard drive is right on the back case and you can feel the heat on you lap. Poor support with SSD drive. They brag on comparability and sell a premium. However, it says third party device not comparable. Wait times are hours long and tech team tried to find ways to deny providing service stringing you along to give up. AVOID THIS SELLER !! Finally, one screw did not fit on the external SSD, so I asked for a replacement and they stalled and said I they could not help, with typical excuses.

Greater than one weekUpgraded a 256 to this. The case for the old drive is a hefty chunk of metal and the cable is quite (unnecessarily) beefy, but the drive itself went in and worked well. If youre at all familiar with computer disassembly, this is a trivial and worthwhile replacement. Its a pity that Apple isnt really doing anything worth buying a new Mac over!

> 3 dayLike most, I purchased the 256GB SSD MacBook Pro Retina back in 2012. I bought an external HD to deal with not having enough space, but I was sick of carrying it around. I cant tell if this SSD is necessarily faster, but install was easy. I made a Time Machine backup from my old SSD and restored it in recovery mode in about 3 hours.

> 3 dayI have a Macbook Pro Retina model A1425 and bought this SSD to increase my disk space; as advertised it was a very easy DIY installation (it took me barely 8 mins or so to do it), and after it was installed my Mac is ever running faster. So to me, this was a great purchase. Additionally it was shipped pretty fast, so two thumbs up for this item and the seller.

> 3 dayI did have to file a bit of the resin off one end of the board but other than that, installation was a breeze. Required installation tools were included as well. Hopefully the drive will last a long time.
