> 3 dayI ordered this and it came in one day, I used it for my dog it was super easy to set up and I like how I can set up several different feeding times. My dog is a lab and his nose gets him into trouble he tried his hardest to get into this container while I was gone and he wasn’t able to which was impressive. Only thing I don’t like is the size of the bowl.

> 3 dayI can’t quite figure out the portion size. Sometimes when I press a certain size it will either come out with a lot or only a few pieces dispensed. Other than that it’s a great item. The voice recorder is a cute idea to gather my cats.

> 3 dayThats really my only complaint. I have to reset the time so the two units are in sync every week (one is consistently about 3 seconds slower after a week, which causes problems during feeding time with my two cats). Otherwise, The unit has a solid, high quality feel. I found the controls to be intuitive. The portion sizes are very consistent (I measure periodically with a food scale set on grams, and its always within a gram).

> 3 dayHaving two cats and two humans with busy lives doesnt make feeding easy. Some times we dont get home until late, and all the food weve left out for them is gone and theyre starving *eyeroll*. Did I mention that one of these cats nibbles ALL DAY LONG and enjoys throwing herself at bedroom doors at 4 in the morning because she wants to be fed? Yes, that used to happen EVERY morning. This feeder has stopped all that. As soon as I had it set up and the buttons programmed (pushing through all of them is rather tedious but its worth it) then discovering that 1 portion is a third of the scoop my vet recommended, setting up their feeding schedule was easy. My vet recommends 2 scoops per day for each of my chonky babies, which equals a breakdown of 2 portions every 4 hours. No more over feeding! My male runs to the feeder when it goes off, eats his half and then lets my mouthy female have her share. Its quite civilized how they do this. I was afraid having the food all in one bowl would not work well but I guess that just goes to show how much they like each other. Go figure. I have only had it a week so I cant attest to the ease, or not, of cleaning, and I didnt program the voice recording because they hear it go off and dont need me to call them. I wish I had bought the bigger of the two models, as the smaller one seems to only hold a 3 pound bag of food, but feeding them a set amount at specific times will now hopefully make that 3 lb bag stretch more than before when we were free feeding. If you have more than 2 cats, the bigger would probably be better, because Im assuming it would hold that 5 lb bag. Great feeder!

> 3 dayPurchased two of these for our cats while we go on vacation. They are outdoor adopted barn cats. Living in the country we need to protect the feeders from non-cats getting access. Nice that it has a locking screw down lid. Should be used in a sheltered space and not outdoors in the open elements. In sheltered spaces for extra protection, we wrap the unit in cardboard and duct tape to disguise it and bungee cord it down so it does not get toppled over and scratched up. A week before going on vacation acclimate the cats to the new feeding scenario. Practice with setting the number of feedings and amounts. Metal bowl is removeable for easy clean up. The cats like it and it works well once programmed. recommend this feeder.

Greater than one weekI have purchased two of these now, one for my mothers cats and one for mine. They look good and work reliably. There is a learning curve to the programing, but it is easy once you get the hang of it. One thing Ive found confusing is that the guide book doesnt say what a portion size is. After going to the company web site, I learned that is because the portion size is different depending on which model you purchase. I recommend just dispensing one portion in your new feeder and measure it to be sure. I dont use the feature to record a voice memo, as the cats learn quickly enough to come running to the sound of kibble hitting a stainless bowl. A side note: These are not labeled for out door use, but the one I purchased for my mother is outdoors on a covered patio. It is durable enough that it survived being dragged into a nearby field by what we think was a racoon. It was mostly disassembled, but the offending critter was not able to get to the food. Other than a few teeth marks, it survived in tact.

> 3 dayWorks great and looks nice. I have 2 annoyances. 1. The instructions dont really give you a portion size that makes sense so we had to pull out major high school math skills 2. Cant find replacement /backup bowls.

> 3 dayI decided on this feeder after reading the reviews. I did not find it hard to program. The instructions were easy to follow. I didn’t bother recording my voice. My cat runs to eat as soon as she hears the food hit the bowl. Also someone in another comment mentioned the portion size is 1/6 of a cup. That helped me determine how much to give my cat. I giver her max 3 portions, which is 1/2 cup, per feeding. I also like the option to give portions manually as well. The only drawback is I would like to have some type of bell to alert when the food is low because I don’t always pay attention.

> 3 daySo I purchased 2 of these for my 2 Bombay cats so we would stop being woken up in the morning to feed them. Programing was pretty easy. The first few days went fine, besides the cats knocking over the feeders trying to get the food inside. To remedy this I put 3M tape on the bottom so they wouldnt move. I thought I was golden until last night. From upstairs in my house I could hear one of the feeders beeping, so I went to investigate. Turns out the older cat somehow managed to unlock the device and dispense food! (Terrible touch controls). As a result I was forces to unplug them until I can figure out a way to prevent this. I wish there was a better design to the touch controls.
