i preferred using batteries instead.The cats have less wires to play with. so far it works like a charm for my 2 adult male cats.

After almost a year of use, the feeder no longer dispenses the right amount. It gives only 1 portion when it’s supposed to do 3, and it’s not even consistently off for me to work around it. It’ll do whatever the f it wants and do 3, or 2, or 1 randomly. Stay away from this unless you want your pet to starve when you are away.

I love that I can adjust the portion size on the feeder and that I don’t have to remember to get his food to him on time - it does it all for me now. Traveling has become a lot more easier as the feeder can hold enough kibble for when we’re away and can be there. There’s a lot of room for customizing meal sizes at different points during the day also!

Great overall with the exception of the non existent volume of the recording you make. No matter how loudly and clearly you speak, the recording is too quiet and not clear.

My cat is always asking for more portions, but he has already been fed, so he’s getting obese. Therefore, we got the cat feeder so that he won’t be overfed. The cat feeder was surprisingly easy to program. Some people were saying that it was extremely difficult to program, but the instructions are pretty clear. I have added the image of the instructions. Basically, you click the button until you get your desired number, and then you press the settings button to save it. The portions are really small which is good, because you can program it to serve as much as you want, without it dispensing too much. My cat loves the noise it makes and runs towards it whenever it makes a sound. If anything happens, I’ll be sure to update this. Also, if you want to have a little more time for the refill I think the 5L would be better for only ten more dollars.

Ive been using two of these feeders for nearly 3 years now. Functionality wise Ive never had any issue with them working, but the portion sizes are much too big even on the smallest setting. If youve got a cat that eats fast and throws up, I do not recommend in the long run. Since I moved into a space with mostly hardwood instead of carpet Im about to retire these and buy better ones with smaller portions I can properly spread out. Again, they work just fine. But take into account how your cat(s) eat.

I was going out of town for a week and worried about my outdoor kitty. I didn’t want to leave out a bunch of food because there are feral cats in the neighborhood that would gobble it up before we got back. I researched automatic feeders and ordered this to arrive several days prior so I could test it. Once I received it, I read that it wasn’t for outside use but that is what I needed it for. Finally figured out the controls and set the portion size as well as a morning and evening feeding time with my own recording to call my kitty. Worked like a charm! After being gone a week, the appropriate amount of food was gone and my kitty looks well fed! I do not plan on leaving it out all of the time but it is great to know that if I have to leave town, my kitty will always be fed.
