> 24 hourThis printer from Qidi is AWESOME! Friends and family that have seen it in action (super quiet) and the high print quality are super impressed. Ive had it about 4 weeks now, printed maybe 25 items... all were great. Im using Fusion 360 for design, and the Qidi Print slicer software that came with it. Qidi is very good with customer support. I have contacted them through email with a few questions, and they are very prompt with their replies. They did send the high temp extruder right away, but I have yet to use it. It sounded from my email correspondence with Qidi that the high temp extruder can be used for nylon and other higher temp plastics, but would not be the best choice for printing PLA and ABS. Which means you would have to change the extruder back and forth. The extruder change-out (from the instructions) seems to be fairly straight forward and probably only takes a few minutes once you have done it a couple times. But, Im having too much fun and success with PLA and ABS to mess with it at this point. The magnetic build plates are wonderful... no adhesion issues. The PLA sticks just fine with only a skirt printed, however the few ABS prints I did required a brim to combat the natural shrinkage of ABS. The printer itself is of really nice quality. One of the things that sold me on this one was the Z-axis design. Its super smooth and rock solid. I have gone through the leveling process several times to check if it needed adjustment, but it has not needed any additional adjustments since the initial leveling. If the build volume of the X-Plus meets your requirements, look no further. This is the printer you want.

> 24 hourEverything you need to start printing today is in the box. Assembly is really simple, because it comes fully assembled only a few miner parts for you to click into place. The instruction book is high quality with full color pictures that easily guide you through every step. Youll be up and printing in a matter of minutes, even if youve never seen a 3D printer. This printer is made of really high quality sturdy material and looks very professional. THIS is what a commercial out of the box printer should be like. Its exceptionally quite too. We previously had an Anet A8 and even though this printer is much bigger its far quieter. We had an issue with our printer where the temperature readings were fluctuating wildly causing the extruder to be over-cooled which resulted in gaps in printing or peeling print layers. The support team responded to our email right away and worked closely with us to quickly diagnose the issue. They expedited a replacement part to us with easy to follow repair instructions and weve had high quality, detailed prints ever since. Were printing using ABS filament purchased from Amazon direct at 225C extruder temperature and 90C print bed temperature. Print quality is fantastic. This could quite possibly be the coolest thing youll ever buy! Worth every penny.

> 24 hourWhen searching for a 3d printer, I wanted a printer with minimal assembly and easy calibration. In short, I wanted something as close to plug-and-play as possible. After owning this printer for two months, I can say I made a great decision. What I love: >Solid construction – The engineering of this printer is wonderful! o Nice size print bed o Removable magnetic print surface for easy removal of your print o Not overly loud o Simple leveling o Included high temperature extruder >Great documentation o Print materials and video tutorials. Everything is there to get you started and support typical maintenance tasks. >Excellent customer support o The online reviews are accurate. I made a rookie mistake and attempted a complex print. I didn’t have my temperatures correct and the print failed to adhere to the print bed. When I came back to check my print, I found a spiderweb of PLA and the nozzle couldn’t be removed from the hot end. I contacted customer service and they quickly responded with recommendations. In the end, I required a new hot end. They sent it to me free of charge even though it was my mistake. Wow!!! They really do have a customer first approach. >And most importantly, the X-Plus delivers great quality prints. Without any hesitation, I recommend this printer.

> 24 hourI didn’t buy the printer from amazon but when I needed parts and guidance to help fix it, Qidi Tech support helped me from the start. They were awesome to help diagnose the problem and send me the parts needed through DHL Express at a very reasonable cost. Needless to say the printer is running as amazing as ever thanks to there customer support team.

> 24 hourHave 4 QIDI X-Plus printers! got them for the easy setup, 2 extruders for more complex filaments, and print size is exactly what i needed. I absolutely love them! Great print size 200x270, really versatile with added high temp extruder that reaches up too 300. Run these 24/7 (no joke) with no issues out of the box! (except for one but ill explain that shortly) Just replaced the stock plate with a pei sheet. Only one has had an issue recently with the high temp extruder, but thanks to their AWESOME tech support they walked me through what to check, send videos describing the steps to take, and when i got pulled away from working with the printer, they kept following up with emails to make sure everything was on track to fix the issue! SERIOUSLY some amazing support!

> 24 hourThis 3D printer is a beast. On average I have probably done 2 prints on it every day ever since I got it and its still going strong. Very easy to set-up and use, also great tech-support/customer service. Recommend this to anyone that has the extra money to spend.

> 24 hourI am very new to 3D printing and decided to pick one up on the higher price end, in hopes that it would last a long time. I followed the scorecards on the 3DPrinting subreddit to decide what to get, and this looked to have the best of everything, with minimal cons. Most reviewers I checked out agreed that it was solid, so I took the plunge. It really is the best you can get. The prints are excellent, the printer has a lot of inbuilt features to help you calibrate it, and the build area is massive. I only print in PLA, but there are an insane number of filaments you can use due to the all-metal extruder that came with it. Once Im more experienced, Ill be able to try those filament types without investing in another printer. So far, I have no complaints. This thing is the real deal. I was able to start a print within 30 minutes of plugging the thing in, and its been printing great for about a month. Attached a picture of it actually printing a job, and a watertight vase I made using it.

> 24 hourI waffled for months on which 3D printer to purchase - and finally settled on the Qidi X-Plus. For the most part, I would say that Im satisfied with a few big caveats. Update 2: Okay - I have to be fair here. While I still loathe the giant window-covering sticker on the sides as well as the woefully inept spool holder - the rest of my issues are either more my fault or have been addressed by Qidi support. I have always rated things with a heavy weight toward post-sale support: things go wrong - that is the nature of purchases especially technology purchases. In total, for the price, this printer really is a good 3D printer (keeping in mind that I have never owned one and it simply *worked* straight out of the box). The few questions / problems I had were quickly addressed by Qidi (once I got their email address right) with suggestion and even follow-up contact to ensure my issues had been resolved. Bottom line: Buy this printer for two reasons: One - youll be up and printing with zero experience within minutes - not hours or days. And two - their customer service, as others have noted, is well above par. PROS: 1 - Straight out of the box, it just works. Id never owned or used a 3D printer but am very versed in 3D design and modelling software. So Id designed a small basic part I needed. My first try, my first print with the included PLA was flawless and fit better than I couldve imagined. 2 - The general quality of the machine seems good. 3 - The noise level is tolerable. Having never used any other brand or model, I cant say for sure where this one ranks - but it isnt horrid. You wouldnt likely want it in the same room if (eg) on a conference call, though. CONS: 1. The QidiPrint application is - IMO - a joke. It is a port of Cura 4.1 (a full major version old) and does some relatively quirky things. I cannot for the life of me get it to generate supports (at all). Cura 5.1 is *infinitely* nicer to use. If you contact Qidi, theyll provide the needed profile information to get Qidi machine profiles in Cura - but alas exports from Cura and use in my X-Plus yields inconsistent quality and is *never* displayed on the preview screen of the machine. If you want a preview - youre stuck with Qidi Print. If you need supports - youre stuck with Cura. If you need both - youre... well... out of luck, I guess. 2. The documentation implies that the machine is WiFi capable. Mine, at least, is not. I can get it to connect to my wifi and even show up in Qidi Print. Any attempt to send via wifi, though, results in a timeout or incomplete transmission error. For the sake of conversation - Im an IT specialist by day and I have nearly 40 WiFi devices that connect and perform flawlessly... If I cant make this thing connect reliably over WiFi - it cannot be done. 3. Certain filaments may not play well with the included magnetic build plate. I found that out only after slightly damaging both build plates that shipped with the printer. When I asked support about this, I was given a terse well what brand did you buy? We recommend XYZ. Listen - I paid 700 beans for this printer - at no point did it say oh by the way you should only use blahblah filament. 4. The included print spool holder is a pitiful failure. You *will* be printing one off of Thingiverse that allows more free rotation of various spools (one, probably, with a tapered conical design and bearings). Having to remove and reinstall the side plates on the spool holder with every spool change is silly - and the rack itself is of such small diameter that spools will surge on it due to their larger diameter opening. 5. The sides... Oh the sides. What designer thought covering clear plexiglass with stickers that cover the ENTIRE (otherwise) clear windows would be a good idea? Those Notice stickers couldve been put *anywhere*. Why not leave the window - I dunno... A window? Thats just silly. 6. The display: Other than the aforementioned inability to display Cura exported Gcode files, the display will frequently wonk out with artifacting lines. That doesnt give me a warm fuzzy feeling. In total - I want to love this machine. But as it is currently- I dont. I dont think the above mentioned issues are show stoppers - I would bet 1, 2, and 6 could be dealt with via firmware and or software updates. The inadequate spool holder seems to be consistent with all makes - so I wont fault Qidi for that one. The build plate issue I had is likely more the fault of the filament brand (Flashforge, in this case) than that of Qidi. In short - if this had clear windows and better firmware and software - Id give at least 4 stars and likely 5. As is, though - Im not jonesing to return it - but I cannot say that Im over the moon happy with it either. Update: After getting in touch with Qidi customer service (via email), they provided a method to get Cura-generated slices to generate a preview using a Cura plugin so that addressed part of the above. They also indicated that there was a known bug with the Qidi Print application regarding WiFi and pointed at an update that addressed the issue (supposedly). For me, the issue was only occasionally fixed - the WiFi connectivity of the printer just seems bad. Qidi also provided more up-to-date 3d Printer Profiles for Cura that addressed some issues found in various websites for the same. All in all, Ill raise my review to 4 stars. Again - this printer *could* be a homerun if they spent about 5-10 extra beans on giving it a tapered spool (universal diameter) holder; a better display; and windows without giant obnoxious stickers. Oh - and an OS that could give real-time feedback on print progress would be fantastic.

> 24 hourAll I can say is WOW! Started printing minutes after delivery. My first printer is an Ender 3 V2, with all the upgrades and fixes, cost is almost the same as the X-Plus. My first 4 12-hour prints on the X-Plus came out perfect! Same 4 prints never printed without issues on the Ender. All 4 prints came out 100% on the X-Plus with a much higher resolution. I always teach my kids they should buy it nice or buy it twice, I wish I would have listen to myself and purchased the Qidi before buying the Ender.
