We needed an easy to use printer with a large build volume. Got this printer over two years ago (actually the Plus-X rather than the Plus-X II), have used it a lot and moved it a couple of times. Has been reliable, rugged, and gives very good quality prints. Tech support by email has been excellent - questions usually get a clear answer within 24 hours. We wore out the original print heads and are now upgrading to the newer model II head. I gave 4 stars for print quality but must admit that we never pushed for the highest possible quality; we did not need it. I also gave 4 stars for for beginners, but not because anything is wrong with it, just that a beginner will likely be frustrated if he/she immediately tries to use the full capabilities of this printer (large build volume, high-temp materials). There is a learning curve for all 3D printers, so better to start with PLA and smaller model sizes.

I have been using this printer every day for the last 8 months. I have to say it is very good quality and has great reliability. I had a small issue with the printer and it was solved very fast by their support department. I you have a issue their support department gets back to you very quick.. This is the printer to buy if you want a printer that works great out of the box and every day.

Came with a broken extruder, but customer service immediately got out a replacement and they were awesome to work with. Super easy to use and quality prints.

I had a few problems in the beginning but they turned out to be me, not the printer. This printer is really built STURDY. There is nothing flimsy about any of it. I printed a dog that I had printed on my old printer. They look almost the same but if you look closely this printers dog is a little nicer than the other. I did have a problem printing a soldier with his legs spread. The printer did each leg separately at the same time (of course) but when it got above the knees the extruder touched one of the legs and knocked it out of position. I could not finish the model because of this. I cant tell if the problem lies with the machine or the program. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. They do provide videos but they go so fast I cant follow them. I would like to know what each icon does. There is no explanation for the two usb jacks on the front panel. I found out by trial/error that if I plugged in a memory stick with gcode files into the left jack that eventually the contents of it would show on the screen, allowing me to select the file I wished to print. The printer is very quiet. Make sure you take ALL the clips off of the belts. I didnt find one and the noise the printer made told me I had done something wrong. I dont think you would go wrong buying this model printer.

If you are looking for a quality printer at a great price, buy a Qidi Tech! Whether youre a beginner at 3D printing or need a reliable unit for small parts production (as I am doing), the features and print quality are excellent. I purchased three Qidi Tech X-Plus machines over the course of a year for a consumer product manufacturing application that runs 24/7 and produces detailed small parts for my companys product. I have seven printers, including an Ultimaker S5, which I consider my gold standard for detail, and the Qidi-Tech produces, again, for my application, results that are close to it. The Qidi Tech X-Plus can print using high-temperature material such as ABS and nylon. I like the magnetically attachable double-sided build plate for different materials, which allows me to change lots and keep production going. The 0.4mm extruder assemblies are easily serviced, and its modular design makes it simple to switch out heads quickly as needed. The relatively large build volume allows me to produce sheets of parts. The Qidi Tech CURA-based slicer is feature-rich, and the LCD makes it easy to identify the print object of which I have over a hundred different designs. You can control the print settings while in-process, and it shows the status of the build with both time elapsed and remaining duration. You can also pause the print session to change filament spools and resume where you left off. There are good on-screen instructions for bed leveling, which is simple to learn and easy to master. Regarding support, e-mails are quickly answered with links included to applicable videos are also contained on their web site, and warranty issues are promptly addressed. Five stars to Linda who has been my customer service representative which is why I plan to purchase two more printers. Theres more, but I dont want to belabor the recommendation. If you are reading this review, you are likely a maker or looking to buy a gift for a maker, and I highly recommend a Qidi Tech printer. Finally, and for the record, I was not compensated by anyone to craft this review, and I purchased all my printers and accessories myself. Corey

I had my X-Plus for over two months now. The printer has been running almost non-stop as my wife and children discovered all the cool things i can print for their hobbies. The printer came ready and fully optimized right out of the box, including leveling. The print quality is excellent. The inclusion of a second extruder for higher temperatures and auto shut off feature when a print is complete is a unique bonus rarely seen with other brands. On 12/1, the printer developed an issue with a module that controls the auto shut off feature and the power button. The printer still worked but it would not shut off without using the power supply switch. I was worried about what it will take to resolve it especially since the printer is manufactured in China. I was absolutely amazed. I received a response within hours of sending my initial email. The response included several possible solutions including videos how to check each of them. When it did not work, the company immediately sent not one but two replacement modules via air. Again, I received a video with detailed instructions on how to replace the module. It was easy and it worked. Today is 12/6 or just 5 days from my initial email to their customer service. The module is replaced and the printer works great. I have had many excellent customer service experiences in my life. This has to be in the top two. I highly recommend the printer for its quality in general. But the customer service experience earned QiDi a loyal customer.

Printer works great and very easy to use for beginners. I had no issues for about 5 months and then I had a printer head problem, I contacted qidi and they sent a new printer head right away and fee of charge. Qidi has excellent customer service.

I have had three 3D printers in my career and this one is the best I have ever had. I am impressed everyday with this little marvel. You cant beat the price and the quality is second to none! A definite buy if you are looking for a 3D printer.
