Reliable performer. My first foray into SSDs were with very cheap drives, and between failures and pathetic performace, I wasnt impressed. Then I decided to go with the overwhelmingly positive reviews the 850 EVO had everywhere and the experience is in every way better. Boot times reduced to seconds in both Ubuntu and Windows 10, application start times down to nothing, exactly what I was expecting with previous units but never actually got. Samsungs reputation is fairly earned.

SSDs are a great upgrade to a slightly older computer that is starting to act sluggish. For about $90 you can breath new life into your computer. They are very fast. They come with software to clone your current drive onto the new one. Did I mention it is fast? Peace of mind: the 5-year warranty is worth the slight cost to upgrade to this model over their lower offering or other brands.

Dell Inspiron i5 W10 boots crazy fast now: only takes 12 seconds from pushing the power button to being fully ready to use. NICE!

This moves files a lot faster than a regular SATA drive, and theres no spinning disks, so your files are more secure too! Oh and this thing is tiny! If youve been thinking about upgrading, just do it!

One of the fastest SATA SSDs out there. Great reliability as well. Price is higher than other equivalent models. But you get for what you pay! If you dont need to absolute speed, any SSD will work. If you can afford the extra, the vey slight performance advantage that youll rarely see (that depends on your workload and tasks) and the reliability are worth the extra money.

A great buy! Sure, it may not be the best bang for the buck, nor is it the best GB/dollar value, but performance and reliability is there. Other SSDs died after lots of writing data, but this one still lives!

Amazing how much the SSD market has advance in such a short time. Thought my Intel 535 240GB drive was fast. This destroys it. Hopefully the reliability matches the Intel drives. First time using Samsung SSD. Running this for programs and a 950 PRO PCIe for the Windows drive.

If you have a standard HD replace it with this and your laptop will be 5-10x faster. I couldnt believe the difference! I have a 2009 MacBook Pro and it now goes from off to browsing the web in about 20-30 seconds! Amazing performance!

I had another SSD, model 300V with 120GB, made by Kingston. Theres a big difference between them! First, the Samsung is four times larger than Kingston, and much faster when you compare their throughputs, the transfer rate is solid and deliver a high speed, it makes a huge difference when Im using my MacBook Pro every day. I recommend that SSD!
