SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

Worked perfectly out of the box. Delivered as advertised. Not super-fast, but better than a spindle-drive.

Cant believe I just now got an SSD, should have done this a year ago. Will probably get a 2nd 500GB in a few months and make it a RAID0. OS boots up super quick and games pretty much load immediately.

I have a Samsung 840 and now this 850 EVO. They are so much nicer than their older relatives, the HDD s that use platters!!! Why have a fast computer if you dont also have a fast drive. Conventional drives are very slow by comparison and the new Samsung flash drives have gotten very reliable. I highly recommend this drive if you run an operating system that already supports flash drives, such as Windows 7 or newer...

Blistering fast, low power consumption, programs open in the blink of an eye. My I-5 Intel processor driven notebook with 8 gb of memory goes from off to ready to work in less than 10 seconds! Im running Windows 10 and with two of these Samsung drives under the hood, life is good.

For the record, the SSD is wonderful and extremely fast, no complaints to the SSD. The reason for the 4 star review is that the included CD refused to copy my data. It recognized the drive by name, but said it wasnt a samsung drive and that their software refused to do anything with it. I ended up using a third party free program to copy my hard drive to the SSD, and everything worked just fine after that. So, caveat emptor: The SSD works like a charm, but dont count on Samsung helping you transfer your data. Have a backup plan.

Put it in my 2012 MacBook Pro. And increased the speed of my computer drastically.

Glad I made this purchase to replace the failing hard drive in my MacBook Pro. The speed for start up and programs are as different as night and day. I will not only purchase these drives for my personal usage, but I am recommending them for other people who want to increase speed on their computers before investing in a new computer.

Extremely satisfied. After I performed an extensive search for an SSD to upgrade my 6 year old laptop for a performance boost (which now is on par with many new models in terms of performance improvement due to this SSD), I found that this one was the best combination of price/capacity/performance.

there is a noticeable difference in speed, temperature battery life and noise. all an improvement. I was worried about the migration but it worked well, no issues. my only disappointment was with my laptop not the SSD. This HP 15 requires removal of the keyboard to swap a HD. the bottom has no access panels. However, yes it is faster the difference is there but its not dramatic.. This is not a cruze to corvette mod. I will do this again with my wifes laptop update: I can confirm that everything is as I stated. However it took 2 weeks to isolate a bug I had. Intermittent screen brightening. Turning off magician fixed that.
