> 3 dayReplaced the original HD on a 2011 Macbook Pro with this SSD. I have no idea how this SSD compares to others, but I can testify to the improvement over the original HD. Boots up faster, runs faster & quieter. Totally happy. And for the only moderately tech-savvy like me, I followed a how-to video on CNET for replacing HD in Macbook Pros, and its very much a DIY job if you have the appropriate (i.e., older) Macbook Pro.

> 3 dayI am so glad I decided to boot from an SSD. World of a difference. Expensive, but worth the price.

> 3 dayI was a bit skeptic, first because on the instructions they referred to a cable I did not have, and then because there was not a lot of information about the migration information capabilities, I decided to connect it internally to my desktop motherboard and it could not have worked better. within two hours I had a brand new OS drive, and I did not have to reinstall anything

> 3 daySwapped my HHD for this SSD and it makes a huge difference in speed. It makes boot time from 30 seconds to a mere 8 seconds. Loading up programs and app is faster than ever. Highly recommend getting this if you dont want to deal with slower loading and boot time.

> 3 dayThis drive does the job and was easy to install as a replacement drive in a 2009 MacBook Pro. Ive been using it for a few months now, and there is a noticeable decrease in the laboring of the machine to carry out tasks as compared to before the swap. Its much quieter than the old drive, and the machine is a bit faster as well. Overall, it was a good investment and way to get some additional life out of my MacBook Pro.

> 3 dayI installed this in my daughters Macbook Pro to replace her HD. Although I had never opened a laptop in my life I watched a few Youtube videos and figured it out. The EVO provided a huge boost to the laptops speed. I asked my daughter and her impression was 4-5 times faster which is HUGE. I highly recommend this SSD based on my own experience and after reading many others as well.

> 3 dayThe Samsung 850 EVO is great. My time from power-up to Windows login screen is faster as is the time it takes for Windows 7Pro to finish loading everything everything and I can actually start working. The only issue I had was with the cloning software. I had a 500GB hard drive which I cloned using the Samsung software. The cloning process appeared to go smoothly as it copied my entire HDD to the equivalent sized SDD. However after swapping out the HDD with the 850 EVO, my Lenovo Thinkpad T440s would not boot successfully. I had to use my lenovo repair/recovery disc to repair the SSD to get it to boot properly. It was able to repair it so it could boot successfully. So I didnt have to treat the SSD as an entire new and blank drive (which saves me the trouble of having to manually reinstall all my applications and my data). After this experience with its cloning software (that came with the drive) I decided not to use its Magician software since their cloning software gave me a problem. I used a checklist I found regarding things you need to do to insure the SSD works well such as no longer using hibernation and verify that my system has implemented TRIM. The drive works fine. I didnt want to take the chance that Magician software would make other modifications to Windows and Id end up having more problems. I did look online to see if Samsung had identified my problem and provided a remedy but didnt find anything.

Greater than one weekBetter Than Expected ! I have done some research and these drives are supposed to be really good. I installed two of them in a Raid 0 configuration and I LOVE it !! My computer is extremely fast now. I only wish I would have ordered a third drive so I could setup Raid 5. I will be buying more of these soon.

> 3 dayThis is a great SD, worth the buy. Still using it until now with no problem. I can tell the difference between a hard drive and SSD is far better for me.

> 3 dayUnless you are using alot of high depth multitasking programs (Greater than 32 read/write handlers with excessive I/O), this is by far, the best non-NVME SATA3 drive currently out. I bought this because the price wasnt bad, and it simulates SLC so well that the Read/Write speeds are actually faster than the 850 Pro version. Installation was seamless, I used the drive copy program to duplicate my Lenovo Y50 drive, and now it works like a charm!
