SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

I was not to happy with this drives performance it failed three times when I used it . The first time was about six months after I installed it in my acer netbook . Then after reformatting it I used it as a second drive in a computer I built, it worked for a few more months then it stopped working again. Im glad I had nothing important on the drive. After getting a external drive case I used it as an extra drive. Again it worked for a while then it failed. Now it just sits in a draw and I went to using Seagate Hybrid drives which I have had no problems with. I only gave it 3 stars because I did get some use out of it.

I previously bought one of these. They worked great, so I bought another one for more storage. Love it!

Samsung makes the best SSD from my experience. Added this to a computer that already had one of these and it works great.

Fastest SSD Ive used. Capacity is enough for a few games, but I keep most in my external hard drive. The boot up time is lightning fast.

If you dont have much experience, installing on windows 10 might be painful. The documentation does not help and and the data migration software failed on windows 10. Here are a few cloning tips for Windows 10 users: 1. use another cloning software, I used a free one called Macrium Reflect 2. connect the hard drive via usb 3. right click on my computer and select manage, then disk management, then right click on the drive and select simple volume 4. run macrium reflect for all partitions (adjust partitions and make sure it set to SSD) 5. install drive This video on you tube was helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWM79HCzdDA At the time of the review the second software called Samsung magician was not windows 10 compatible

This is a great product, but the included Samsung Migration software might not work correctly for everyone. This may result in an SSD drive that appears to be successfully cloned but actually has hidden errors. This can manifest in a host of odd functionality problems. If this happens, then start over and re-clone the SSD using another cloning program. There are several free options out there, such as EaseUS Todo Backup, which resolved all of the problems when installing the 850 EVO into an HP Envy desktop with a Skylake CPU.

I purchased the SSD after looking into many technical reviews. All pointed to this being the best bang for the buck in terms of speed and reliability. I have used Samsung 850 EVO brand SSDs for the last year in multiple computers. No problems at all. Very satisfied. I also transferred my boot drive (From an ssd to an ssd) with Acronis (Free) and had zero problems booting up and running as normal.

Came fast and nicely packed. Works great. Highly recommended to everyone who has an old MAC. My 2012 15 Macbook Pro goes just as fast as the ones that are 2015. No complicated formatting was necessary. Started just as any other hard drive. Used Disk Utility on it first, then Online System recovery. P.S. Just upgraded the RAM to 8GB just used the ram from my old HP computer. Amazing power boost up for under 300 USD. Good Luck to everyone.

Bought it the day it came out! Absolutely incredible performance, especially with Samsung Magician enabled. You wont believe the benchmark test results you get from this beast. Just buy it!
