SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

I have two of these in my PC now, and I dont think Ill ever go back to the conventional hard disk. These solid state drives are small, quiet and fast.

I was going through some old records and realized I had not rated this Samsung drive yet. The drive was purchased in 2016 to update an aging DELL and after its system board finally died I transferred the drive to a newer HP and it is still going strong. Great upgrade for any magnetic disc machine (if you still have one) and the longevity is pretty awesome. Installation into both machines was seamless and improved the performance of both units by a factor of 4 to 8. A good deal in any case if you want to give a few more years to an old favorite piece of hardware.

This is a review on the ssd on a xbox one, not a pc. Game loading is drastically improved. Fallout 4 for example. Loading times are horrendous on factory xbox one drive. Opening doors and entering buildings can take you out of the action. Game saves thst happen right as you enter a building that freeze the screen are another gripe. Long loading times for fast travel etc. All these are fixed. Entering buildings take between 4-5 seconds for small buildings to 10-12 for larger areas. Fast travel takes 10-12 seconds max. That freeze of the game when it decides to quick save? Gone, goodbye. So quick its unoticable now. No more fps drops as well. This is one game I play alot. All other games load fast as well. Saved game clips no longer take forever. Replay of them is 10x faster as well. Big gains all around+ the quality of a big name behind the product.If your on the fence, buy it. Its well worth the upgrade.

Great little drive, but to seat it properly you will likely need a bracket adapter. Besides that I highly recommend it, makes the computer run fast, run smooth, and pull data at impressive speeds to USB drives.

I do a boat load of research before I buy anything, especially online, and every samsung storage device (internal harddrives, seagate externals, miscro sds etc) have always been grade A. Never had a single problem with any samsung storage device ever. They are doing something right.

This is the best SSD available on the market, in my opinion. The software and UI available with this SSD are hard to beat and you are paying extra for a reason. It was well worth the extra few bucks to have the peace of mind of knowing I chose the most dependable SSD.

Ive bought 3 of these for various computers and these are the BEST SSD in terms of performance per dollar. Theyre extremely snappy. Windows boots in a few seconds, and Arch doesnt even have a boot delay; itll go from GRUB to LightDM in under 2 seconds.

nice quick and clean internal SDD HD to replace a fast failing HD. This drive wasnt as big as my original but thats not its fault...i knew that when I pulled the purchase trigger. So far Ive been running flawlessly on this SDD HD and I like the samsung magician software that comes with. use this software to check the health and optimize your settings and avoid Windows PC optimizer. Pleased with purchase.
