Since installing this into my late 2011 Macbook Pro, Ive noticed a significant improvement in speed amongst my programs, as well as boot-up time. I can also run two production programs simultaneously now. For ex., I couldnt run FCPX and LR at the same time before. This upgrade literally saved my MBP. Im SOOO happy I installed it. Ive had it in for about 3 weeks now. So far, so good. It was very easy to install as well.

Good battery at a good cost for my mid 2012 macbook pro 13 (which I want to continue to use for quite some time). Install was easy, it fit, and I got my pressure pad back from the dead caused by the original, swollen battery. Issues are that the battery management system does not work with off brand batteries, it appears. So, the OS doesnt warn me when I am getting low and when Im quite focused on the work, sudden shutdown because I didnt notice the 1% charge. Other times the plug in indicator shows green but it isnt actually charging or running off of AC, and sudden shutdown. Often have to take the AC charge connector out and reinsert to get it to go to orange charge status. This doesnt happen all the time and could be something to do with the connector, not the battery/OS issue (although I didnt have the problem before the new battery). Either way these arent the fault of the battery manufacturer, but of Apples insistence that we continue to upgrade, not update, restore, repair (thats business, isnt it...)

I have a 13-in MacBook Pro, mid-2012 model, that was barely functioning with the old HDD. I decided to upgrade to this Samsung 850 EVO SSD and upgrade my RAM to 16 GB. Its been about a month since the upgrades and my computer is running like new. PROS: - Runs fast, efficiently, and quietly - Great value for the price - Easy to install CONS: - Battery doesnt seem to improve with the upgrade, but that might just be my dying battery. KEEP IN MIND MAC USERS: - If youre upgrading from a HDD to an SSD, be sure to manually enable the TRIM on your computer. It will extend the longevity of the SSD and maintain its function. There are loads of resources online on how to do that.

Fast SSD! No problems migrating data to this SSD using Samsungs utility on a Dell Inspiron laptop.

Worked great! Really love the INCLUDED drive cloning software. It worked perfectly the first time! Which is unheard of with computers!

Installed in my Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop and it sped up what was once a slow dinosaur. I contemplated getting a new and faster laptop, but this SSD has brought new life to this dinosaur and made the laptop usable again. I have Samsung SSDs in all my desktop computers, so the quality is no surprise to me. I have not tested the speed, but I know its definitely faster in boot time and opening programs. Removing the HDD from this laptop requires a bit more work than some other laptops, but doable. The clone process was easy as usual using Samsungs software in conjunction with the StarTech USB adabter cable (see link below). It took about 20 minutes to clone. Just download software, plug the adapter to the USB 3.0 and the SSD and run the software. Also, make sure you keep the laptop plugged into the wall outlet for continue power. So, if you have a slow laptop and considering shelling out more more for a new one, stop, and try the SSD first. You may be surprised at how much life the SSD breaths back into your laptop. If you are still not happy then buy the new laptop and install the SSD into the new one and be even more happier.

Put this in a top of the lineHP Envy, at least HP says it was. Works much better and faster than I was expecting. Between this as Linux Mint, that HP is running much faster. Only down side, I did not have enough money to buy a larger unit.

It works well, I was talked into using Firewire, so its so-so in actual speed versus the usual claims about FW, but its fine. Im using it as my boot drive. Surprisingly noisy, but I appreciate the price.

Turned my slow, clunky desktop into a fast, smooth machine. Easy to install. Very pleased so far.
