> 24 hourIm using this as an OS drive to speed up a system at a small business. I cant overstate how much snappier the machine feels with this SSD as opposed to the traditional plate drive it replaced. This drive has spoiled me and I will soon be forced to add one of these babies to every machine I have any contact with at the office. With the drop in SSD prices you really get a much larger bang for your buck by adding one of these as opposed to spending the same or more money on adding more RAM. If your system already has 4GBs of RAM or more and you have your OS on a platter-type spinning drive, this is the upgrade that will make you feel like you have a brand new computer. Couldnt be happier with the purchase. Cant believe I didnt do this sooner.

> 24 hourBased on reviews and other information I had read about the SanDisk SSDs, I decided to purchase this drive for a client of mine who needed some faster, more reliable storage on their home desktop computer. Physically it doesnt differ much from any other SSD, and in terms of read/write speeds its pretty snappy. There was a noticeable difference in the start-up time of the OS (Windows 10), right off the bat. The wake up time when the computer was in sleep mode was also MUCH improved and this is exactly what both I and my customer were hoping for. At this time Im unable to comment on the longevity of the drive, but barring any hardware defects, I believe it should last a sufficient amount of time. That being said, I always choose to maintain regular backups of my important documents/pictures/etc. If you are looking for a great SSD that will positively impact your start-up times and file transfer rates, this SanDisk SSD will do the trick.

> 24 hourTo start off, I am not techy and just got advice from co-workers and friends on how to revive my 5 year old laptop. The start-ups lagged and programs were slow to boot up. Instead of buying a new laptop, some people suggested to try swap to a SSD. I was apprehensive at first, but with a little on-line research and youtube, I was able to figure out how to do the swap. ITS PLUG AND PLAY!!!! The SanDisk SSD drive slid right into the slot where my old hard drive was and thats it. After reinstalling my OS and programs, my Laptop has a new life!!!! Why spend $$$$$ on a new laptop when I got this for a fraction of the cost and works like a champ! From boot-up to program launches, it is like night and day. Super fast and smooth start-up. I recommend this to anyone with a slightly older laptop and having the same lag issues. Like I said, I am not a computer person, but was able to revive my laptop and super happy with the new performance. Slim design seems to fit most laptop hard drive spaces, although check with your specific model.

> 24 hourOverall I am very pleased with this Sandisk SSD. I had previously purchased other brands of SSDs for my personal machines, but a family members hard drive failed in their MacBook, and I decided a SSD fit the bill for a replacement. This particular user hardly uses any disk space. Their old stock drive was less than 25% full, and it was a 200GB drive. So I recommended this SSD, ordered it, and installed it. The user is extremely pleased with is performance. It used to take their Mac over a minute to start, but now it boots in 16 seconds flat. And when it is on and being used, the Macbook flies right along. It was an amazing speed boost. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

> 24 hourFor the price these are good drives. I picked a few in different sizes up for various machines. 1 of the 2 120GB drives failed hard in under 3 months. Good thing I had them Raid 10. Also have a pair of 480GB so far so good and a pair of 960GB drives. One of the 960GB drives blipped one day and the RAID 1 mirror broke, but it rebuilt fine and so far so good. Performance seems decent, but I am sure the motherboard RAID controller is slowing the drives down. Still from power on to desktop in Windows 10 is about 10 seconds and the machine is immediately usable, vs. spinning disk where you have to wait for everything to finish loading up. I guess I knocked a star for one drive failing so soon and other blipping. Tie will tell how reliable these are. I have revised my rating because while the drives are decent SanDisk support is awful. I have a dead drive and the hoops they make you jump through to get an RMA are unacceptable. Every spinning disk maker just lets you register online, supply info and auto-generates an RMA or even cross ships a drive to you, SanDisk, wants pictures, all sorts of specifics on make and model of computer, and configuration, how many drives in the computer. Really? For a $5 drive it is not worth the grief I might as well eat the cost and buy a new one and I bet they are counting on people doing that. I bought 6 drives for 3 computers, but those will be the last SanDisk drives.

> 24 hourThis SSD was very affordable and it totally revived my laptop. The installation of the drive was very easy. If you are new to replacing a hard drive then I suggest researching what you might need to transfer an image of your existing drive to your new SSD. The bootup time required to boot Windows has decreased. A side benefit if you have a computer with a little amount of ram (4gb RAM or less) is that it speeds up the processes running in the background. An example of this is if your are pushing the limits of your ram the system begins to access your hard drive to act as an expanded ram source. With a SSD drive this doesnt slow down your computer at all, but with a drive that spins it has to spin your drive constantly as it acts as a temporary source for RAM thus slowing down all of the processes. It accesses the SSD similar to RAM because there are no moving parts. I dont want to get technical on the specifics but just want to indicate that the increase in performance is more noticeable when the SSD is placed in an older computer than in a brand new computer that already has 8gb RAM or more. I plan to get several more years of use out of my laptop because of this SSD.

> 24 hourThis drive is ultra skinny, but included a spacer that has adhesive strips to put on the drive. I did for my Dell laptop and it fit well, without it the tie down brackets wouldnt sit right. I cloned the existing drive with Macrium Reflect free, http://www.macrium.com/pages/windows10.aspx , and an external drive cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011M8YACM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, once that was done in about 20 minutes I just swapped the drives , rebooted and like lightning the SSD took off made the laptop faster then its ever been for a very good price. Hope it lasts.

> 24 hourIt has a plastic shell and feels a little cheap to be honest but the performance I am getting is amazing for a sub 50 dollar SSD, I am getting 500MB+ reads and 400MB+ writes on the 120GB version and those speeds blow my old kingston V300 away completely so I am quite happy with this purchase. I should note though that if you get this be sure to swtich to AHCI mode on your motherboard, if you keep your sata in IDE mode, you will get only about 450MB read and 240MB write speeds, thats what I got before switching on my TP67 Extreme board with a 3770k. Hopefully it does not bite the bucket quickly though. When you get to about 25% usage though the speeds drop from about 550 read and 440 write to about 510 read and 405 write though. and then stays at that to 100% for me.

> 24 hourThis product works great. All the benefits of a SSD are realized, including super fast Windows boot times. My PC only supports SATA3, and this drive is backwards compatible with the older SATA. Highly recommend a SSD to bring life to an older PC. I tried the SanDisk clone utility software after downloading and installing it, but, it was cumbersome. Since I was moving from a Western Digital disk to this SanDisk, I downloaded and used the free Western Digital cloning software instead, which worked great and is easy to use with a Wizard function to walk you thru the steps. You have to have a WD disk on your system to use this software.

> 24 hourWorks great. I put one in my three year old bargain ASUS laptop and it made it into a whole new machine. Boots into Windows 10 in under 10 seconds. I put a second one in my five year old desktop computer and it has made it much faster. I was thinking I was going to have replace both computers as they were so slow, but with the SSD I figure I can keep using them for another year or maybe two before I am forced to upgrade them. Installation was easy in both computers and both seem to working well.
