> 3 dayI have a Dell Inspiron 1525, I bought it 7 years ago, 2009. I wanted a new laptop, but I really dont know what to do with my Dell, so I decided to do some research on speeding it up and I read about changing the hard drive to SSD. It worked like a charm! Ive been using this product for a year now and I didnt have any major problems, besides sometimes my laptop cant read the hard drive upon startup, but its an easy fix I just have to restart it. I highly recommend upgrading your old laptops hard drive with this one, its cheaper than the other SSDs which makes it a lot better! So I upgraded my laptop and its now running in Windows 10. Its like I bought a new laptop for just $50!! Hopefully this can last me for 7 more years.

> 3 dayThis purchase was made to upgrade a PC desktop. I was using a 120-GB SanDisk Extreme. I upgraded the OS (WIN 7) from 32-bit to 64-bit. And I am waiting for the WIN 10 free upgrade to arrive. I needed the Free Space on a primary drive that this SSD did provide. I removed the older 120-GB SSD and plugged this in its place. With the PC Shut Down, I popped the DVD drive. Inserted the 64-bit install DVD and hit the power-on button. The OS installed quickly. About 20-25 minutes. I loaded the Intel Installation utility driver. And let Windows[tm] Update Service do the rest. (WUS) My PC has been rolled back to integrated audio and video--awaiting the WIN 10-update. Ill update PCI express later. I always use SanDisk for storage. I have never had a SanDisk failure. Even under trying conditions. My flash drives, camcorder SD, Digital still SD. SanDisk is always my first choice. === I bought another 240-Gb SSD This will upgrade a Win 7 32-bit to 64-bit and then Win 10. SanDisk is very much a favorite piece of hardware. I have never had a SanDisk product fail--in over 6-years.

> 3 dayThis is everything you want in an SSD at the right price. Its incredibly quick, boots like lightning, and (obviously) silent. The key caveat here is that it does NOT come with imaging/cloning software. Now, if you already have that software, or you know what youre doing? Youre going to have no problems. But if you dont really know what youre doing, and youre looking to transfer over a windows install, youre going to have to find some software to get the job done (and know how to use it...). Thats actually an important point (that is rather casually omitted). But there is no questioning this drives efficacy, especially at the price. Just know what you (arent) getting.

> 3 dayI mainly bought this for my Xbox One and I also purchased a Inateck housing for my SSD. If youre looking to speed up your Xbox One or maybe even your PS4 by shaving down some seconds from your load time then this will help you out. Before it would take me almost 2 minutes from powering on my Xbox and arriving in the tower in Destiny. Now it takes me about a minute and 27 seconds. Think about it if you can save yourself 2 to 5 minutes a day from your gaming experience from loading, you could probably save yourself 20 to 30 hours a year by shaving off load time.

> 3 daySpeeds slightly over advertised (make sure you enable ahci in the bios before installing or it will be slower), Been working fine for almost a year with now issues now. This is a great, affordable ssd and I would recommend it to anyone who doesnt want to pay a premium for a samsung drive. My OS (windows 8.1) goes from bios to desktop in about 5-10 seconds, and is immediately responsive once hitting the desktop. No more waiting for programs to load and such before your computer is running at full speed. If you are still using an hdd as your boot drive you can really benefit from this upgrade. Update 10/13/17: removed 2 stars from review. drive is still functioning, however the write amplification factor is over 35 now and the drive is being reported as .95% wear level in software, which due to a bug in smart reporting is actually 95% wear on the NAND. after only 15tb of actual writes to the drive, there has been over 550tb of data written to the NAND which is approaching the drives expected life. I only use this as a windows boot drive and a few frequently used games, I even moved the page file to an hdd to prevent unnecessary writes so the drive hasnt been abused at all. Experiencing some system instability which I believe to be due to the ssd, and will be contacting sandisk about warranty replacement since it is unacceptable for a 2 year old drive to be 95% worn from normal use.

> 3 dayInstalled this SSD on a white MacBook 5.2 as a replacement for the original 120 GB HDD. I was amazed at how easy it is to replace the HDD on these computers, after a long slog replacing the HDD on my 2007 iMac. Disk Utility immediately recognized the SSD, formatted it, and I was able to upgrade the computer to El Capitan and restore the apps and files from Time Machine. All that took longer than the SSD installation, but was simple and straightforward. Watch the videos that OWC has uploaded to YouTube before replacing any HDD in a Mac; they are the best produced and easiest to follow. Result: MacBook now boots in 30 seconds flat; previously took a minute. Apps load almost instantaneously. Would be even faster but the SATA 2.0 in old computers is a bottleneck for data. Wish Id installed an SSD instead of a hybrid drive in the iMac.

> 3 dayThe Bad: These arent the fastest SSDs available today, Feb-2016. They are based on the SandForce chipset and for some thats a problem. The Good: They are cheap, and they are available in smallish sizes for good capacity/price ratios. For me, that makes them the perfect upgrade from rotating rust in older computers. Especially those computers running as servers or embedded machines. My favorite application for these SanDisk SSD Plus drives is as upgrades from spinning disks in Linux|BSD servers. They are perfect as the Boot/Root Drives in those applications. They are available in the tiny sizes 32G, 64G, that Open source OSs can use. And they are wholly appropriate in any application where your speed will be limited by the SATA bus. They are also good for those people upgrading older Macintosh hardware. I have a 60Gb SSD Plus in my Mac Mini media server. All of my media is stored on the network anyhow so I dont need a lot of storage there. But this drive is worthwhile for the improvement it provides in boot and program load time. Ive brought new life to my very first MacBook by replacing the rotating drive with a 120Gb SSD Plus. That machines boot time dropped from 2+ minutes to less then 30 seconds. And the laptop is quite usable for web browsing and email again. All of the machines I mention are limited by their SATA Bus which is generally SATA I or SATA II. I those situations, the speed difference between this and one of the new Samsung EVOs is irrelevant.

> 3 dayWho is going to upgrade to an SSD from a standard HDD and not be completely satisfied with the gains in performance. First SSD Ive had and so far, Im impressed. Coming from a HDD to this is like night and day; albeit, the speeds arent stellar but its leaps and bounds faster at everything than running of a standard HDD. I say this because, you dont necessarily have to get the top advertised speed SSD to experience the performance gains if you too switching from an HDD. The only down side is, while theyre great, theyre still expensive for the capacity in my opinion but with time that is going to come down fast as it already has. I just couldnt wait any longer! :)
