Even though i purchased this product to be coupled with a 1tb Seagate drive that never came, this SSD alone has been a driving force in both its temporary home and its now permanent home. No full speed test were done on this drive on its initial installation, test will be done in its new housing soon which I will post soon. Test or no test however, over the last 5 months with this SSD has been wonderful and have give two computers new life that otherwise would feel sluggish and slow. This SSD isnt much of a match for the likes of the 850 evo pros; however, for an entry level priced SSD, this bad boy takes the cake in my eyes and will be a definite repurchase for other future builds and upgrades I will be doing.

Purchase this item since it has went down in price from hundred of dollars to $64.99, now $61.95, making it an excellent deal. At least it is cheaper than waiting for my hard drive to breakdown. Went to see how much a professional would charge to install it and clone my old disk drive, since I have never clone a hard drive before, and they want $150 to install and clone the old hard drive. As such I decided to do it myself. The installation was easy. I downloaded the free cloning software from that is mentioned in the FAQ section for this product here on Amazon. I connect the

My HP Dv7 series laptop needed a new drive at last, especially after upgrading to Win10, and I knew I was going to get a SSD style but was not certain of which brand. I have had very good luck with SanDisk products before so went with their 128 gb SSD drive. Since I only put the OS on the main drive and store everything on the secondary, I did not need more space. Basically, this is plug and play. I replaced the drive in very short order, inserted my OS disc and the speed at which everything loaded was impressive. I had no issues at all with either installation or performance and I am very pleased. As a bonus, my computer and the power adapter run much cooler as well. I would definitely recommend this brand for anyone needing a SSD.

I LOVE IT!! Seller delivered on time! Product works even better than I expected, Now I just need an upgrade Motherboard.. Right now Im stuck with a SATA II .. 3Gbps.. And my boot time is still less than 30 seconds! This is simply the FASTEST upgrade I have ever done to my pc!! Hands down.. It even took my windows 7 install in record time..I do HIGHLY recommend going to the you tube academy to learn how to correctly move your temp internet files to your regular harddrive. Pics and docs, and music, maybe not so hard for most of you.. But equally as important.. yes its limited to literally Millions of reads and writes.. but why waste them when you can simple relocate them to a regular harddrive.. program files as well. BUT< you can change the storage location when you reinstall, this imfo IS NOT included in the instructions. so you must seek it out on your own, Bot no fear, the You Tube Academy has you covered!

Overall I am very pleased with this Sandisk SSD. I had previously purchased other brands of SSDs for my personal machines, but a family members hard drive failed in their MacBook, and I decided a SSD fit the bill for a replacement. This particular user hardly uses any disk space. Their old stock drive was less than 25% full, and it was a 200GB drive. So I recommended this SSD, ordered it, and installed it. The user is extremely pleased with is performance. It used to take their Mac over a minute to start, but now it boots in 16 seconds flat. And when it is on and being used, the Macbook flies right along. It was an amazing speed boost. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I started with an OCZ ARC 100 ARC100-25SAT3-240G which worked fine except for the fact that it crashed every time youd try and sleep/resume in windows 7 64 bit. Useless like that, but I do have to say their tech support is very supportive since they shipped me a replacement before even sending mine back to them. Unfortunately it still didnt work right. Next I got a Crucial BX100 CT250BX100SSD1 which again worked fine except for the sleep/resume issue. Luckily Crucial had a firmware upgrade which fixes this issue. The crucial btw was about half the weight of the OCZ. So after dealing with issues on both previous SSD upgrades I decided to either get another Crucial since I knew it would work eventually or try out a SanDisk since their SD cards have always been flawless. Im glad the SanDisk was on sale first. It worked perfect right out of the box and is incredibly lightweight. Approx half the weight of the Crucial, 1/4 of the OCZ. Speedwise it maxes out my Sata 2 connection just fine at 280/240mbs, the others if i remember right were around 250 or so. Windows boots up in 55 seconds with this on my old laptop.

To be fair, this drive lasted 5 years. Not particularly aweful for HDs, but not particularly great either. For SSDs its fair I suppose. The problem is that when it fails, theres no warning signs in advance. Just one day, POOF, its completely and utterly DEAD. Cant be resurrected. Cant be recognized... laptop says Theres no hard drive installed. I have removed the drive, and using my Sabrent, have found the drive is completely gone. It cannot be recognized in my diagnostic system I use for testing & recovery. Drive Management reports nothing plugged in at all! (*Other drives are recognized*). This feels like the 90s, when I had to back up everything onto CDs (before DVDs were even a thing), and if I didnt back something up, it would inevitably be lost!

This product works great. All the benefits of a SSD are realized, including super fast Windows boot times. My PC only supports SATA3, and this drive is backwards compatible with the older SATA. Highly recommend a SSD to bring life to an older PC. I tried the SanDisk clone utility software after downloading and installing it, but, it was cumbersome. Since I was moving from a Western Digital disk to this SanDisk, I downloaded and used the free Western Digital cloning software instead, which worked great and is easy to use with a Wizard function to walk you thru the steps. You have to have a WD disk on your system to use this software.

Im going to keep this review short and sweet. I bought this drive to upgrade a pretty old laptop. Im talking a laptop whos warranty expired over 5 years ago. To make a long story short, the laptop is now flying along as if it were new again. This is one of the single best upgrades Ive ever done on a laptop! Just a note, I also took the 1 TB drive out of the laptop, put it into a cdrom/hard drive caddy, and put it back into the laptop via the cdrom drive port. I use this second drive to store all of my music, movies, photos, etc. If youre on the fence about buying an SSD drive as an upgrade for an older laptop, just do it. You wont regret it.

Installed this SSD on a white MacBook 5.2 as a replacement for the original 120 GB HDD. I was amazed at how easy it is to replace the HDD on these computers, after a long slog replacing the HDD on my 2007 iMac. Disk Utility immediately recognized the SSD, formatted it, and I was able to upgrade the computer to El Capitan and restore the apps and files from Time Machine. All that took longer than the SSD installation, but was simple and straightforward. Watch the videos that OWC has uploaded to YouTube before replacing any HDD in a Mac; they are the best produced and easiest to follow. Result: MacBook now boots in 30 seconds flat; previously took a minute. Apps load almost instantaneously. Would be even faster but the SATA 2.0 in old computers is a bottleneck for data. Wish Id installed an SSD instead of a hybrid drive in the iMac.

Step up to SSD speeds and inject new life into your laptop or desktop PC with a durable solid state drive from SanDisk. You"ll experience quicker boot up and shut down, quicker application response and data transfer speeds than with a typical hard disk drive1, at just a fraction of the cost of a new computer. You"ll boost your cool factor, too, with a solid state drive that doesn"t overheat, make noise or burn through battery. SanDisk SSDs are tested and proven to be resistant to shock, vibration and temperature extremes2, so your SSD keeps working, no matter where or how hard you use your computer.
